>all tesla models are the same hardware
>the more expensive ones are just a software update
those poor millionaires
If you're not retarded, you'd only lease Teslas. They're pretty much drivable pieces of technology, and anyone here knows that technology is constantly being replaced. It costs $2k a month to lease one for 3 years. If you can afford that you shouldn't be worrying about out of warranty costs.
dropping 75k to lease a car for 3 years does not make sense either, Teslas are pretty much toys for rich people right now. I am waiting until they get their factory in order before I think about one, though they might die before that
yh, if youre gonna drop that much, you might as well buy the car outright.
There are some advantages to leasing a car, if it's shortish term like that.
Maintenance costs will be on the lender for example.
Tesla will most likely be bankrupt in a matter of five years if they don't get their production up considerably. Musk has been overhyped these past few years.
Awww sweetie. Some of us aren't poor
EVs have very little upkeep compared to ICE
you've never owned a car if you think most faults are from the power train
Brainlet
Do normal cars need their door handles replaced nearly this often?
>faults
You've definitely never owned a car if you are assuming the upkeep costs and time come from faults as opposed to oil changes, spark plugs, timing belts, air filters, fuel filters, coolant changes, transmission fluid changes, brake pads and all the other shit that needs to be regularly services. Go play with the benchracers on /o/ you faggot.
>paying $20 every 5k miles for oil is going to bankrupt you
>$5 for a air filter is too expensive for most people
>who could possibly afford $15 for replacement spark plugs every 80k miles
> implying every normie does their own servicing.
> implying every mechanic charges a fair price.
> implying you have ever sat in the front seat of a car, much less the drivers seat.
All of this is of course moot, because there are demonstrably more serviceable/consumable items in the power train of an ICE vs an electric. You're not even arguing that point anymore, you're just trying to save face. Thanks for playing,
>the dark side of tesla ownership
Tesla is investing considerably in production capacity and that's their biggest expense by far. They've got pre-orders for years to come. Some of these will probably cancel due to the time between ordering and getting their car but there's a lot of revenue to be made there. They do have a funding problem. Just to keep it simple, if you can make 10 cars per month and you've got 100000 pre-orders then you can't make nearly enough to build factories off sales.
>bragging how over 100k miles it only cost some guy 4k
>all of that 4k is broken parts he had to pay for
top kek
>american's having any consumer rights
Thank fuck I live in a country with actual consumer protections.
>buying the first generation of anything
I'm glad I didn't born yesterday
>he thinks this is just a first gen thing
Nice try goy telsa needs to making more money, battery scheme helps, making you take 3 week in advance appointment means they want to goy you more than Ferrari.

if you think the model S is bad wait until the model 3, IE the "economy" model, starts to go wrong
all these cut-corners and production issues - it's going to a shit show
Tesla’s are a meme. Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt is where it’s at.
Waiting for an electric Volkswagen Polo/Golf with at least a 500 mile range under $30k, just a couple more years.
It's what the Führer envisioned
