Qemu VM thread

I have a vanilla Windows 7 install. What is some cool stuff I can install to fuck it up? Bonzibuddy or Registry Fixers? Suggest something to me.

I unironically have bonzi buddy installed on my main computer.
He's funny and cute. The only problem is that he always takes focus so you can't type anything for too long or use any fullscreen programs.

OK

Try to win a free ipad or whatever normies do to get their machines hit with ransomware.

There's a virus collection torrent on the pirate bay. Download that and see how badly you can fuck it up.

I would NOT expect anything less from a peep nigga.

i've got some bad shit that can kill your system in a bad way, but uploading them somewhere and linking it here would probably get me v&

This.
Listen, OP. To achieve maximum breakage, you must enter the mind of the normie. Enter the mind of granny!

Second this, also OP when you install anything don't uncheck anything just go with default settings and see how much bloatware you can get.

Here we go!

Install a virus

Please state the version and language of your host OS so I can send you totally not a VM escape.

What version of QEMU are you running on Windows?

Ubuntu 17.10. x64. EN_US

Quads demand uploaded + link to pastebin with link.

make sure you have an outdated version of flash. run internet explorer (some unpatched version), but disable smartscreen filter. don't run windows update.

google for ways to watch cable free on your PC. download codecs when needed. also google for drivers and download driver analyzer and automatic downloaders.

porn binge on internet explorer

I've got an issue with qemu/libvirt on a windows 7 guest (host is Debian stable), figured I might ask here instead of starting a new thread.

if I set a proxy on a browser in my guest windows VM, websites take at least twice the time to load compared to using the same proxy and browser on the host OS

Does anyone know why this happens? I already tried with all the adapters available and they all have the same issue.

Attached: 1521779141830.png (1280x914, 792K)

I have ie 7.

I am getting network issues with qemu in my vm. I am using NAT. Not sure why.

you know you can take snapshots instead of reinstalling, right?
pretty sure virt-manager makes it easy too

or you can make a copy of the vhd (or vdi or whatever you use) before you fuck it up. then copy it back when you want to get back.

I think most disk images have an efficient way of taking incremental snapshots, regardless of fs

What sort of issues are you having? I'm also using NAT

I did latency tests on both the guest and host, by pinging google.com and the response time is the same, download speed without the proxy is also the same.

The darn thing only slows down when I use a proxy within a browser on the guest VM, if a website takes 20 seconds to load using a proxy on the host OS, it will take 40 or 60 seconds to load on a proxified VM

I just don't know where to start troubleshooting this

Attached: Bz3Kg9G_d.jpg (640x480, 28K)

>20 seconds to load
start troubleshooting somewhere around romania

I don't think the proxy is the issue, I've been doing tests with ff/chromium on both the guest VM and the host OS, using the same proxy, and I'm also the only person using this proxy.

For some odd reason it always takes twice or thrice the amount of time to load a website on the guest vm.

I also did the same test on a virtualbox windows guest and the problem went away. This is some sort of odd issue in semi/libvirt

Thanks man.

Windows chokes on big meaty cocks trying to navigate double NAT.

That sounds intuitively correct, I'll test for that right now.

Also, check this game out
malware.wikia.com/wiki/Lose/Lose
It deletes files on your computer as you play, supposedly there's a windows version.

I cant run browsers in the VM anymore, it is too fucked up.

Try this:

Does qemu support emulating a gpu which works in windows yet?

What do you mean by emulating? Like emulating a Voodoo3 gpu?

wannacry

... what?

how do you think qemu video output works if you're not using GPU passthrough or running with -vga none?

youtube.com/watch?v=37D2bRsthfI

I was thinking pretending to be a real gpu either an existing popular chipset or custom vm-specific one like you get in shit like vmware.

VM passthrough is great but it's gonna suck if for example your using a laptop or a mini-itx and are stuck choosing between what gets the shitty iGPU and what gets the dedicated GPU.

Come to think of it, is it even possible to pass through eGPUs yet?

Update it to windows 10

not cool OP
I use windows 7.

QEMU does VGA output through a fake GPU, yes.

>is it even possible to pass through eGPUs yet?
Yes, I believe so. Fairly sure it's a bit iffy and depends on the specific hardware, though, but that's pretty fuckin' standard for PCI passthrough.

I'm trying to set up PCI passthrough using this: wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF
But every time I try to create a VM I get an error regarding AppArmor e.g.
error: Failed to create domain from ./domain.xml
error: internal error: Process exited prior to exec: libvirt: error : unable to set AppArmor profile 'libvirt-c7a5fdbd-cdaf-9455-926a-d65c16db1809' for '/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64': No such file or directory

I've tried searching but everything I've found is old and doesn't work.
Has anyone got an idea of what's going wrong?
I'm using xubuntu 17.10

Install a bunch of browser toolbars

>Has anyone got an idea of what's going wrong?
Literally says
>'/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64': No such file or directory
So you either didn't install qemu, are using a 32bit OS/install or installed qemu elsewhere and it didn't link the files correctly. Or the guide is outdated.

OP check this
free-keylogger.en.softonic.com/?ex=REG-60.0

That file does exist. Is it possible for problems with permissions to give that error instead of permission denied?
>Or the guide is outdated.
Possibly. It's also for arch not ubuntu. But I'm still right at the beginning of the guide and most of the instructions are just telling you what to install.
The guide says to use virt-manager, but when I ran into this error I tried using "virsh" directly. I still get the same error though

a) apparmor is deprecated
b) your qemu binary is either nonexistent, you have AppArmor or selinux denials preventing libvirtd from seeing it or some fs namespacing.

tl;dr stop using qemu

I mean stop using AppArmor.

So why bother telling it for us?

Disabling AppArmor seems to work, thanks.
Is it risky to run a VM without it? Is there something else I should use instead?

apparmor doesn't even work anymore, especially because of things like overlayfs and fs namespaces. use SELinux instead.

>I have a vanilla Windows 7 install.
>What is some cool stuff I can install to fuck it up?
It sounds like you already installed the most fucked up thing you could find

Does anyone know how to enable Aero transparency on QEMU?

The same way you'd enable it on real hardware?

>Is it possible for problems with permissions to give that error instead of permission denied?
I guess you already tested this, but I believe anything under /usr/ is read only to all programs. So that shouldn't be the issue.
As for Xubuntu you can always check this guy's tutorial youtube.com/watch?v=dsDUtzMkxFk
>It's also for arch not ubuntu
Shouldn't make any difference. The only thing that's different is the package manager and the kernel version.

Also ignore most of this, didn't see the post where you said it worked by not using apparmor.
