What did you mean by this? I went to the site and it hasn't been discontinued.

Windows and macOS now have this feature built in, they lost 90% of it's users at least.

Did they patent? Should have. Jews don't respect other peoples work, as usual, but when they remake it? They luvit.

I still use this for work. What happened?

S

It was botnet anyway
Press S to spit on grave

the major linux DEs do too now
rip flux

>did they patent changing the color temperature of something
IP was a mistake.

Jow Forumsentoomen use sct anyways. And retards stuck on Windows should use Windows 7 and LightBulb

I would have kept using if their implementation wasn't so bad. It was terrible for games because of the microstutter due to it updated every second.

Nightlight and Redshift are simply better tbqh.

But both those implementations suck.

Too bad the windows implementation is utter shit.

Spotted the Flux employee. It's literally a change in screen temperature, how the fuck can it"suck"

Customizable curves and wake-up times for example.

I work nights, and don't need dimming when the sun goes down. I need it about 6 hours after the sun sets.

So set the hours, then. Or turn it off temporarily.

just switch it on/off at your own discretion, god damn

how fucking fat are you guys that two mouse clicks is too much effort to expend?

This is trivial shit. Also, some jailbrakers did this color temperature shift first, flux didn't invent this

>mfw Wayland does not support screen filters
I'll stay on X11, thank you very much

I'm fat but you have no business asking the stock levels of fat I am warehousing inside my body. Who the fuck are you?

>5+ year bug in redshift that it sometimes breaks when going to sleep and resuming (at least on GNU/Linux)

haha niceee

flux is a meme solution to something people already knew a long time ago

dark mode = god mode

Flux has better hotkeys and fewer bugs. You guys can go fuck yourselves.

>Just turn it off temporarily 4 days a week for the rest of your life
Your right, I guess it's basically the same and doesn't suck less

>Open exclusive full-screen progam with Flux active

>disables that effect in the settings.

I still use it because the transitions are much smoother and the colouring is better.

still use it nigga
10 built in sucks

Is this actually effective at helping you sleep?

The one in Windows 10 is either on or off while f.lux has a gradual curve. It's a lot less startling.

If Microsoft ever added the ability to gradually shift color temperature I'd switch to it immediately. But until they do, f.lux is still better.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE GIVE ME FLUX BACK!

I don't get it. Does that make it crash for you or something?

the post

Anecdotally I think it helps me, but the plural of anecdote isn't date so take that for what you will.

It definitely does.
Humans evolved around fire, so we're used to seeing reddish/orangeish light while falling asleep. On the other hand, the only thing that makes blue light naturally is sunlight. It makes total sense that seeing a shitload of blue light at night is going to suppress Melatonin production.

>Melatonin isn't a known word in the dictionary
mozilla please

THE NEW GERMANS

>GRADUALLY SHIFTS COLOR TEMPERATURE TO BROWN

>REEEEEEEEEEEE IT'S THE SAME THING HOW CAN IT SUCKS
>explains why I don't use
>HAHAHAHAH YOU DA AUTISM
Sure buddy.

Actually, if it turns on based on your timer, it is very gradual.
It's not customization, but I don't realize that it's turning on until it's nearly done unless I'm staring at a white application.

Perhaps they've updated since, because that's how it worked when the feature was first introduced. I haven't gone back to it since though.

I'm making the move to Linux soon - what's the equivalent of f.lux I can use?

gnome has it built in
redshift is the foss alternative

>not using github.com/Tyrrrz/LightBulb

>doesn't realize flux has a built in program whitelist
Wish niggers would stop trying to understand technology

>>not using github.com/Tyrrrz/LightBulb
This.

Literally just adjust your monitor's color settings.
Software is entirely unnecessary.

>Nightlight
gnome refuse to add a gsetting for temperature during the day
a shit

>not just using -O2500
