I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. I bought that game in Alpha, expecting it to be like ArmA 2, but better.
I forgot about it for a few years, then played the campaign and thought it was trash.
I tried it again recently and it won't shut the fuck up about all the DLC guns you should buy. I just uninstalled the game.

Lutris is pretty nice. I use to always use playonlinux to manage my prefixes. Took me awhile to switch. The really nice thing about Lutris is being able to see icons for every platform (native builds, steam games, roms, etc) all in one spot.

The second GPU passthrough became relatively stable is when I took the plunge. Never needed to look back. Esp with WINE being as good as it is now.

Anyone know why CS:GO performance is so shit on Linux? I tried using Solus/Elementary OS/Arch and still got awful results no matter which DE I used. I'm running a GTX970 with the proprietary nvidia drivers and hover around the 60FPS mark on max settings at 1080, on winblows I'm getting more than double that FPS
