A windows shill has defended this

I expect such retarded behaviour out of normies, not people here. If you can't even do such simple tasks I would recommend even MacOS for you - straight to the Chromebook

That's pretty nice picture

>hurr durr what is Windows 10 LTSB, the only legit version of the most closed-source OS ever
You deserve to suffer.

>m-maybe if I call him retarded again without saying anything even mildly related to the topic at hand, I'll come out on top

\thread

this decision isn't yours to make.

I have none of the problems you listed.
Retards like you should have automatic updates on anyways so we don't get another ransomware epidemic.

I have to manually tell windows to update or it won't update at all.

> defend this behavior immediately.
Lol, what?

>oh no, they are keeping my OS up to date and pushing updates to keep it safe

kys idiot

eh...it's more like
>oh no, they're forcing me to accept newer, shittier versions of software I never really wanted in the first place and causing me to lose files left and right because of it

>Try to leave a system that is still in beta stages without updates

If you're going to do that just install 8.1 you nonce. This obsession with running away from updates is what's most likely to be the cause of your problems with W10 at this point.

werx on my mechine :^)

The thing where it installs candy crush saga only happens once upon a clean installation, and windows update doesn't do dick about that. Enterprise and Education don't even install that crap. Aside from that, not really sure what you're talking about. Do you hate the aesthetics? It looked like shit in 1507. It looks like shit now. Oh no, now Windows Defender has a different layout. The calculator is now translucent, whatever will I do.

Hello.
It appears you haven't read the thread all the way through before replying yet. Please refer to the following posts for a deeper sense of context:

metered connection is not the way to do it.
This is the right way to do it.

Also, windows 10 has a boot to last state function where it'll automatically open browsers such as Chrome, Edge and other applications and restore them to their original state, that functionality has been further expanded via timelines.

Attached: windows update.png (754x249, 30K)

Don't timelines only work with a microsoft account

I warned you about non-free software, but you just laughed it off. Why couldn't you listen? It did'n have to end like this.

Fuck you, faggot. Windows update is an universal backdoor. And useds of botnet10 should at least be able choose whether to update their botnet or not. """Feature updates""" just (re)install candy crush, add new spying features and introduce more bugs that go unfixed for weeks, if not months.

so this is the power of Windows

If you want it to sync across multiple devices, yeah, you can have everything synced and restorable across desktop, laptop and windows tablet.

>computer does literally the exact opposite of what you tell it to do
you're right, it couldn't possibly be more intuitive! :^)

Set your network as a metered connection. No more automatic updates.

Profit.

Or just embrace the updates slowly up your ass...

You don't get any more parentheses until you try harder.

try harder at configuring your system correctly

I refuse to defend it.

There were people complaining they got the free upgrade to windows 10 even when they said multiple times they didn't want it.

>Alright, that's a pretty good one

How many brain wojaks did you save

Windows users claim Windows just werks and then get mad that people don't want to do a bunch of counter intuitive configuration just to wrestle control of their own computer. The absolute state of M$ shills.

>/Threading your own post
You fucking newfag

>defend this behavior immediately.
Windows users are full with tech illiterate dumbfucks like you who think updates are only for show and don't install them then lose your shit and blame windows and MS for becoming a WannaCry customer.
Guess what nigger? Pajeetsoft had enough of you.

as many as i could find

>settings preconfigured for dum dums too confusing for dum dum to change

Yes, but precisely how many?
A GB worth? A TB?

>not understanding that some people prefer to update their software at their own pace instead of RIGHT FUCKING NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW at all costs, even if those costs include losing everything you even had on your computer in the first place

>I LIKE not being able to schedule an update for next week instead of in 30 minutes
>anyone who is actually kind of busy is a tech illiterate dumbfuck

According to my folders, 54 brainlets and 23 big brains (don't care about these enough to save most of them though), so not a huge amount but decent enough.

Fascinating.

>install new version
>install new version

>"do you want to remove the old versions of windows from your PC in order to free storage room?"

You are flat out lying or retarded.

I delayed a major version update for windows 10 for well over a month simply by clicking the "REMIND ME IN 3 DAYS" button every three days it popped up.

Yeah, sometimes that button isn't as reliable as it is in your case. Sometimes you'll click "Remind me in 3 days" and 15 minutes later the protocol will begin.

>Microsoft didnt invent the magic of installing updates when I close all my applications and turnoff pc instead of fucking annoying popup-tier shit every minute
Hold me Jow Forums

>Having to click something every three days and the dick ended up doen your throat anyway
>This is acceptable
Could you please turn around so they can dp you to ass too ?

I assume he is referring to people who had the upgrade to windows 10 forced on them.

Never had forced updates/changed settings using windows 10 pro.
You are just retarded

if you want software to respect your freedoms, why did you install windows?

Attached: 1505705755589.jpg (923x519, 75K)

>disable windows update
>use wsuoffline when you have spare time to get important updates
Wew!

Make your internet a metered connection in settings.

Makes you have to confirm the downloads for updates.

Stop being a little bitch and fuck without a condom like a man.
Then run home to your erratic wife named Linux and visit your loving children (also known as tormented movies and porn)

>Retards like you should have automatic updates on anyways so we don't get another ransomware epidemic.

This. It's designed for retards who think RANSOMWARE COULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ME, I'M SPECIAL, I DON'T NEED UPDATES

why is Jow Forums so bad with computers

>Stop being a little bitch and fuck without a condom like a man.
Enjoy your AIDS then.

Why don't you configure it to ask you before updating?

I only had to install w10 on my machine once, and thats besides w7
had to get the LTSB edition and unjew a bunch of shit
still unsatisfied tbf
dont do it anons
stay pure for 7-tan

Uh huh, enjoy sucking the golf ball through the garden hose. If you focus really hard, you can feel the word "Microsoft" stippled on the head of the hose

What about win10 ltsb and msmg tool kit?

"remind me in 3 days" only works for a limited amount of time
eventually the updates are being installed without consent

>No blowjob for ol' m.soft, eh? I'll give that bitch a headache

>install windows 10 education
>leave updates on
>shutdown my computer every night because I'm not a savage
>windows updates during shutdown and boot taking maybe 10secs at the most
>never interrupted with updates during the day
I will never understand the retards what somehow get updates during the day and get restarted

Using LTSB, only security updates and i can delay reboots forever.

so you trust what some closed source program does to your pc while you enable some vaguely described options?

>turn off automatic updates
>updates automatically anyway
Seriously, what's the point of giving you the option to turn it off if it doesn't do anything?

>press the buttons and follow the instructions that you're supposed to
>system still does the wrong thing
No, it's your shit OS that's the problem. Stop defending poor design like a little bitch and admit where there are faults.

I don't use Windows very often (less than twice a month) but I make sure to log in every Saturday just to check for updates so that it doesn't bother me when I need to use it.

that is the crux of this new windows update, its fine for most people who use there PC regulatory but for people that use Windows 10 on a device that does not get used regularly like my laptop its a bit of a nightmare and makes me want to go back to windows 7

neat never knew about that tool kit
I just installed LTSB and ShutUp10 for a week to test some things and will format the partition in a week or two so customising is pointless
making the change to Linux too

>/threading yourself
Embarrassing.

That's not the fucking point. The user should be in control of the software, not the other way around.

How many times you going to repost this bullshit?

Automatic updates *can* be turned off permanently. Perhaps an UPDATE broke that... but if you install a fresh early version of Win10... you can turn it off and keep it off.

Source: I've been on Win10 base install for 2+ years, not a single update.

>le windows experience

It's not about the mere fact that updates are being pushed; it's about how they go about doing it.

>but if you install a fresh early version of Win10
You'll have to re-install all your other software.

This never happened to me. I dont even get a popup Windows asking me to update. I can only update manually and I dont recall making any change in the settings. Maybe something is wrong with my windows 10. Got it from school.

get a real OS

I refuse to follow anything Windows 10 related, but what is this user supposed to do if he turned off automatic updates but it still updates?

How are you supposed to get around that, other than using not-windows 10 or using only LTSB?

nah this shit happens on enterprise if you're not doing wsus or wsus offline.
windows is fucking terribad.
source:
>devops engineer who just last month made a clean win10 enterprise image because my other one was fuck all
i should've never trusted the fucking built in updater.

disable windows update service
wow so hard
