As much as I enjoy working with my macbook pro on a daily basis, the insides are repugnant. If you have to engage in a 7-hour operation to replace your trackpad, your design is shite.

I'm certain Apple didn't make the macbooks 'nice' on the inside. They made them easy and cheap to assemble, which makes them more difficult to maintain. Very much like cars these days. Oh, you need to swap a lightbulb? Don't worry, our technician can do that in 4 hours, we just need to open it up, lift the engine out, replace the bulb, and you're good to go.

Last month I replaced a 4 years old thinkpad with a mac and I can't believe why I waited so long, it's like jumping 20 years into the future.

Bro that's some weak bait. I have a T440p with a 4980hq, 16gb 2133 ram, and 5 (yes 5) tb of Ssd installed. The base machine is 4 years old, and yet the hardware is at its worst much better than Mac. If anythin you leapt back 20 years, if anything breaks you are boned, whereas I can swap any part within 10 minutes

I bought a MBP recently because I figured the anti mac sentiment on Jow Forums was just blind parroting. Lo and behold, it is. It's a better OS than Windows (which means it is also better than Linux) and it's a very good laptop.

Not enough storage space internally. Proper cooling keeps a cpu both cool enough to not throttle AND quiet, sorry my dude. And some people really are philosophically inclined to do their own repairs if they can.
