Why would any private person need more than one phone in the household, why not let everyone share it?

Don't respond to bait threads, idiot. Just let them die. Sage.

>household
Moving goal posts.

Name one reason for owning more than 1 personal computer.

Gaming pc with windows, work pc with Linux, media server pc and so on... I have 3 pc and I'm thinking about taking a fourth one

>Gaming pc with windows, work pc with Linux, media server pc
Virtual machines on a single PC.

A desktop that stays at the home and runs Internet-accessible services, and a laptop to take with me. I own many more but I'll admit they are just for fun, I really only *need* the two.

You know you have more than 10 computers, right?
The question nowadays is not "what is a computer?", but "what is not a computer?"

Laptop + server or anything that requires serious amounts of computing power.

>Why would any normie need more than 1 computer?
fixed that for you

Being a computer hobbyist is great, there's a computer everywhere you might need one
>main desktop in bedroom/office
>htpc in living room
>gayming/testing pc in the spare room
>home server, obviously
>in the shed for looking at repair instructions etc
>in the sauna for listening to music
>laptop by the couch for doing stuff while the tv is busy with a video
There's even a laptop in the bathroom, which I'm typing this on while I'm taking my morning shit

>htpc
>TV / movies
Plebeian.

>gayming
Plebeian.

>home server
Virtual machine. No reason to have a separate computer.

>listening to music
Plebeian.

>tv
...

>single point of failure

>Virtual machine. No reason to have a separate computer.
You're a fucking idiot.

>Virtual machine. No reason to have a separate computer.
Yes there is, my server runs VMs of course but it still needs a computer to run on
Remember, there is no cloud, even virtual buzzwords need something to run on

>computer in the sauna

Unfathomable, but you can actually use a computer for multiple purposes at the same time!

>taking
Thats not very nice Jamal

>Unfathomable, but you can actually use a computer for multiple purposes at the same time!
And get this: There are actually reasons why you might NOT want to use a single computer for everything.

>And get this: There are actually reasons why you might NOT want to use a single computer for everything.
want != need
