That's one HD pic. Anyway it was the same for me in highschool. Then I went to CS uni and was forced to Jow Forumslearnprogramming

>write code 5 times slower because watching youtube videos alongside

>waste all days on programming instead of learning art
Feels worse tenfold

Attached: 1523773671800.jpg (468x391, 86K)

Yeah I'm still in highschool, so there's that
I also never had computer related lessons/classes or courses about computers or programming

Why would you learn art? I mean, if you want to become an artist why learn programming in the first place

It'll be a lot easier once in college. You'll realize programming is actually the easy part, what's harder is to learn all the other cs related theory...

Now it seems hard cause you have to do it as an additional thing from school.

No regrets.
We came to this world to have fun and be happy.
Some people are happy programming.
If you are not, don't force it.

>Video games do nothing for me anymore
>No life
>So bored you start learning how to program

I got high AND had sex instead of learn react/redux correctly

Same. Its anime for me though. I just cant sit myself down. I feel like i have too many resources; the g libeary plus a bunch of other books. I dropped sicp after two chapters as well

>Hate programming.
>Only use it as a tool.
Math is far more interesting. It is like doing games puzzles.

Write a program that outputs a triforce made of asterisks.

kys faggot

I always liked art but I was pressured to study IT so I can get a "real job". When I was hired as a junior developer I realized this is not what I want to do in life at all and I was let go after 2 months because I only did bare minimum
Now everything is kinda difficult I'm so far behind compared to everyone else it's really ovewhelming but honestly I'd rather wait tables than go back to IT

nice user
finally someone with my same philosophy

But I already have a girlfriend. Here is her photo

Attached: 1508834480001.jpg (940x1175, 133K)

How long until you get bored of fucking shallow girls? How long until want something different, something more in life?

Attached: T7O3CZO.jpg (1200x900, 174K)

Fuck, if you've got an IT education don't waste it now. Use it to work and get a good job and some money, and eventually you'll earn enough to stop working for a while and dedicate to art.
BUT you must do your best in both your job and your art pastime (you can also find time for that after work if you get good at managing time), you won't get anywhere by whining about how you're not doing your dream job. Most people don't do jobs they "dreamed of" anyway, but the best learn how to love them and put their heart and souls into them anyway. Our faggot society puts all this emphasis on "le dreemz u must follaw" but most of the times you'll find more joy in finding out not what you "want" to do, but rather what the current situation requires you to do well.

The most skilled programmer I've ever known was a jap guy who years later told me he wasn't even that much passionate about IT in the beginning, he wanted to study literature but it wouldn't give him much, so he was kinds forced to learn CS, but he wouldn't blink even in the hardest situations, he was always focused on what he was doing without complaining.

Also, I've known some people who worked some years on jobs they didn't like, and saved then enough money to stay 2 years only dedicating to music.

Don't give up in your situation cause you've got more than a lot of jockos I interact with everyday.

Unrelated but somehow uplifting song

>being so young and virginal that you think sex is valuable or worth pursuing

Pic with written text that it's your girlfriend or it never happened

So much this. You have exactly one (1) life as far as anybody knows and it's a surprisingly short 75 years average if you're in good health. Don't waste time doing things you don't actually want to do or need to do.

Thank you for the advice. I've been doing what other people say my whole life and in the hindsight it wasn't the smartest thing to do. Now it's time for me to follow my heart. No matter where it takes me

Attached: bo2BlCT.jpg (2048x1831, 515K)

time you enjoy wasting is not wasted

same but i stuck it out

Go easy on that. "Following your heart" in an absolute sense is actually something I'd never recommend anyone. People who really love you (family, few friends) can also give you good advice.

What you really have to do is learn to live your reality in the fullest, whatever life gives you. Thus, you'll both be able to be good at work and enjoy it, and to have more time/efficiency in your art passion.

Good life.

>tfw have to programm to make end to end and have no time to play videogames

>waste all my weekends browsing internet, watching youtube and shitposting instead of gaming or reading or watching kino or learning programming

>Go easy on that. "Following your heart" in an absolute sense is actually something I'd never recommend anyone.
This entirely depends where you live and how wealthy your parents are.

This is me actually

Shitposting ruined my game habits more than college or everything

Even so, just because your parents have money it doesn't mean you can't fuck yourself up in a way money can't fix.

user, are you literally me?

Attached: baka2.png (572x575, 258K)

If it hurts to punch yourself in the balls you don't do it, right? Same with programming, don't do it if you don't like it.

posts like these read in 2 ways:
1) be a faggot and do it because you don't want others and yourself to think you don't like to do it.
2) be a little bitch and only do what you like to do.

you hate girls that dont give you sex right?

OP is a faggot

>waste all my weekends compiling
>could have been playing video games

Can I see her naked?

Honestly, this is usually how I learn things. Have some YouTube tutorial or udemy course that explains a concept and out it to work immediately in a project I'm working on. I find it creates a more real-world application case study than the typical "let's make another to do list app" tutorials usually use

It doesn't matter. Do what makes you happy, user.

I've liked art ever since I was a kid, but my parents didn't believe you can get a real job with that so I ended up programming.

>enjoy programming, at least the fizzbuzzes i do
>no motivation to move beyond them and make something that might actually get me a job

YOU NEED TO REARN DISERPLINE

build a Jow Forums chatbot that learns from posts from pol and g
>no one is interested
>mfw

Define "learns."

You can make your own Markov chain generator in an afternoon, I know I did.

can't define in it detail but I'm using chatterbot
so you can read the docs if you don't know

Jokes on you, I feel nothing from games.
It's actually annoying, that I can't into any enjoyment from them, even though so many people love them. Programming is my escape

>wast all my weekends on assignments instead of learning programming
College is such a meme. All they do is slap you around

>waste it all on trying to learn to draw anime girls instead of programming

Who cares if you enjoy it. Life is full of cheap entertainment. Fulfillment is harder to find and more complex as it is special to everyone.

My advice, remove everything more 'interesting' than programming from your life. Make it hard to do things you don't want to do and easy to do things you need to do. Then life will automatically go in the direction you want.

>nose ring
What a disgusting thot. I feel bad for you. Go find a qt trad gf.

>So bored you start learning how to program
This.

>Georgia Lorraine Ellenwood is a Canadian athlete competing in the combined events. She represented 2016 World Indoor Championships finishing tenth.
Great catch, bro.
She must fuck like a fighter jet.

>picking up chicks
>not a waste
>totally doable to have a harem

I too run Gentoo

Depending on what games you play you can improve your programming skills by making addons or bots for said game. I learned Lua when a teen because I was playing WoW.

>I feel like i have too many resources
Yeah, vast resources have become more an issue than help. It is easier to learn a niche language just because your only guide will be the official documentation.

take advantage of your knowledge and passions and become a (web) designer

>spend every free moment on Jow Forums instead of literally anything else

Attached: 1504288458057.jpg (600x238, 18K)

>wasting every day of my life living as a plant and doing basically nothing instead of doing my only duty as a student

Attached: 1523457760604.jpg (306x306, 18K)

>implying being a student isn't already a waste.

I learn all this shit on my own time, the only reason i'm paying so much is for a stupid piece of paper.

>user go read 3 chapters of x and do y, and then we will discuss it in class.

shit's so pointless

Attached: 1515483017829.png (499x559, 284K)

>implying

it's not a waste if you were going to fail anyways. just accept it user, you have no drive to program and no inclination for it. you got memed by Jow Forums when you should have stuck to tech as a hobby without delusions of making it your career. spend time on things that engage you, productive or not, you will be happier.

Attached: 1512298746832.gif (500x385, 136K)

I think I'm just going to start drawing porn for those western fetishists with too much money

no just everyone and everything

Really depends on what makes you more productive.
I started this crypto analyst (more focus on anal part) job and swore off games and got burnt out 3 months in.

Started gaming again and noticed im more focused at work and put out mroe creative and bang on analysis.

I find programming is a big puzzle. It's the only thing that makes bugwork for code you didn't write bearable.

programming is too boring to make it anything other than a hobby

Well said user.

>trad
Subhuman.
In some cultures nose ring is trad though. Quit judging regardless, it's only jewelry.
