Currently switching from ubuntu mate to devuan mate, is there a way to import desktop themes package (mutiny, etc..) from one to another ?
Poor customization
I've been using cinnamon for 2 years now. What makes mate better? When I switched to test it, it looked pretty ugly even after theming in my opinion. Is there anything I should be aware of when using the de?
Right Click the background and Change Desktop Background
Add the image you want to use and select it. Easy.

^ Stuff like this is why I won't use MATE. It's been years, literally.
Thanks!
it's /comfy/
nice official "Babbys first Xfce" thread
I used to use MATE for a long time. Man, I remember when I first tried it, I got a little emotional because it was just like how Gnome 2 was. Anyway, I've abandoned Xorg, MATE devs need to port to Wayland already.
How do we organize automatically applets in a panel like xfce and not move them like an autist? Serious question, this behaviour drives me crazy.
it's just like gnome2 because it's a fork of gnome2
Even dumb frogposter can use mate.
Or xfce with updates.
more like gnome2xfcecinnamonclusterfuckremixremastered
But just works as gnome 2.
more like i like it and your opinion is shit
gnome2 was a mess and MATE reproduces that aspect to perfection.
more like Xfce is literally the same but stable and your opinion is rarted
>stable
Funny word for abandoware.
>abandoware
People don't understand Xfce release cycles. It's a meme at this point.
The next version will come pretty soon but nothing will change anyway and that's a good thing™
>gets frequent updates
