Can you guys recommend good, safe, and most of all, fast VPN? Government in here(South Korea) is planning to block TLS-based censorship circumvention, so I need a good VPN now.

What the fuck is the SK government even censoring?
Also, you should still be able to use Tor over obfs4.

>Tor
I almost got a cancer using it, It's slow to the point where you have to wait 30 minutes to download 300mb of anime

>What the fuck is the SK government even censoring
They ban porns, pirate websites, north korean websites amd other websites irritate them

man, everytime i hear about SK it sound like a dystopian police state, that's fucked up
sometimes i'm glad to live in europe

>ban porns
I don't get what is the reason for that (besides religious muslimshIt)?
porn decreases rape counts, hurts no one...

If you live in Uk/germany you should look around. They are as dystopian.

When i was stationed there I used strongvpn and never had an issue. I think it's not the most protective of your history but i didnt give a fuck since i was just downloading shit and looking at pornhub which nobody cares about. except almost country in asia i guess

South Korea just sounds like Asia's United Kingdom then, desu

well, fair enough, i'm french

>anime
You deserve it pedofag. Be thankful they don't just throw your kind in prison.

wireguard and tinc are pretty easy to setup

You're not supposed to use it for downloads. Just buy a seedbox or something if you want to torrent stuff.

Gooks are so fucked up

Op here, it is a dystopian police state and I want to leave here and emigrate to Europe, Canada, or at least Japan(although they're hardly different from us)

Feminism, SK is a dystopian shithole were people like Hillary try out their latest machinations
It's literally illegal to play video games at night in SK

Why everyone is blocking now everything? First - Chinks, second - soviet Russia. Now GB and best korea...
Stop this cancer, otherwise internet will become television or radio, with censorship and shit. They are doing it not for protecting companies from 'pirates', but for their dirty needs.

>no video games at night
cant be.... *google*... oh shit :D minors only though. But still...

I've seen NordVPN and PIA tossed around a lot. Check out those two, just be careful about using PIA, that one I know is US based, so they may be subject to the USA's surveillance, though that shouldn't be a problem for you.

I would not lump germany in with UK. Perhaps Australia and the US though.

>Government in here(South Korea) is planning to block TLS-based censorship circumvention
How? Just IP bans? Or ban everything https? Or some countrywide MITM where you have to install government issued root certs to browse https?

crytostorm with air vpn as backup
pay with btc and meh, it works lol
you could ssh tunnel

>Or some countrywide MITM where you have to install government issued root certs to browse https?
If that's what it is (I doubt it, but I don't really know what OP's talking about) then a VPN service won't be much good - OpenVPN is TLS. It just sets up a generic tunnel for arbitrary data instead of speaking HTTP over it.

You can run it over TCP 443 and less-sophisticated firewalls and IDSes and shit will mistake it for HTTPS. Not smart ones though, OpenVPN has the client present a certificate, HTTPS never does, so the handshake looks different.

There is two-way HTTPS auth also, where both server and client authenticate themselves, instead of just server.

Well, even though I brought it up, I don't thing the third option I listed is possible because the government would't have enough computational capability to MITM every TLS connection.

I'm gonna inseminate Dorothy!

You should only worry about PIA if you're doing something that would get you put on a watchlist. SK isn't part of 14 eyes, so it's unlikely they could force a US based VPN to identify you.

Haha they're most likely going to censor this site next. They're doing you a favor, stop looking at porn.

>>There is two-way HTTPS auth also, where both server and client authenticate themselves, instead of just server.
well yeah, that's what I meant, and its what OVPN does. HTTPS web browsing never does it though.

>I don't thing the third option I listed is possible because the government would't have enough computational capability to MITM every TLS connection.
Some -stan shithole did it, I think either Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan. By pretty much that method, saying "install our root cert so we can MitM your traffic". According to the article I read they're gonna actively try and block any traffic they can't read from leaving the country.

Perfect privacy vpn

>HTTPS web browsing never does it though.
Well, like I said, two-way HTTPS is a thing, and a browser can actually do it if you install a client certificate.

>best korea
worst korea, comrade

For m-m-m-muh national security

>block any traffic they can't read from leaving the country.
>developed country that isn't Russia or China
overton window is shifting lads

Mind giving an example?

>kazakhstan
>uzbekistan
>developed country

pls

Buy VPS from some noncucked provider, install Wireguard/tinc/OpenVPN on it and you're fine.

Get a server from a LowEndBox sale and set up your own VPN. It's the best solution.
P.S.: Dorothy a cute.

Isn't Japan lax with Internet regulation? I had the impression they didn't even care much about piracy over there.

Torrenting is automatic 1k€ letter from lawyers in Germany.

Bump

At least they don't block porn.

This site is already banned in South Korea, Everytime I have to use https everywhere to browse here(which is not bad btw)

Hi! I'm posting this via a SSH tunnel on some Korean guy's raspberry pi I hacked into. Why? Because I am using a proxy/ssh tunnel combo to scam my mobile ISP. It's cheaper here in the Philippines to pay for access to just Facebook and you get 3gb per day instead of 1. People here use a program that pretends to be connecting to facebook.com but you're really connecting to a ssh server via a http proxy. Good shit. Since it's running on my VPS which has a server IP can't post on Jow Forums with it. So I connect another ssh tunnel on the hacked home connection and post here with that. Fuck buying a Jow Forums pass.

Anyway I can connect to both boards.Jow Forums.org and Jow Forums.org just fine over HTTP. Maybe changing your DNS is enough to thwart that bullshit? Maybe that's why it works for me? Who knows.

vpngate.jp/en this site is great for free VPNs. They give you the option of using ovpn configs. This is what you will want. You will also want to use servers in Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. They will be quite fast. Good enough for fap time at least. Might want to do your torrenting without the VPN and look into bypassing it for Jow Forums because the VPN IPs are considered a public proxy and banned. I miss when they weren't. That site was fantastic for flag based trolling on Jow Forums.

Good luck bro!

bump

I never knew South Korea was such a shithole

I saw someone saying that not rotating IPs is bad, why would that be? I just have a one country VPN config, to avoid my ping and speed going all over the place, what am I supposed to be paranoid about?

When I went to Kuwait and had to face their stupid censorship (fucking muzzies), I used Opera VPN on my phone.

It seemed efficient, for a free one, and I didn't notice any slowdown.
