What's with this software that attracts the most retarded people?
Do these people unironically think that having literally 4 clocks and a literal, I shit you not, a real-time HDD free space percent meter cluttering your desktop is a good idea?
People want unique desktops to match their "personalities" and this is how they achieve it
Noah Price
It's the same reason why the news puts up am those demographics with the weather and time and the running bar at the bottom of the screen with short news stories they have already vaguely mentioned. It's just something to look impressive to people who don't actually think about the function.
Tyler Cook
Just use arch or manjaro linux then?
Levi Stewart
It's for placing waifus on your desktop.
Leo Diaz
Can you imagine yourself looking at your desktop and not knowing at a seconds notice the % usage of your SWAP memory?
hang on, i'm *very* new to Linux, how does Arch or Manjaro Linux affect your desk top? do they have system monitoring utilities added in or something?
William Myers
>Be free tard >Gets mad when people use something for free >Questions why people enjoy things. Your autism is showing and that is for reminding me this exist
Leo Mitchell
who are you quoting?
Oliver James
i understand what your saying but i dont get why it happens.
I think he meant that configuring your DE from scratch fulfills the need to have a unique user experience. Not sure how it applies to Manjaro though.
Nolan Diaz
There are some nice minimalist skins that blend in well with the Windows 10 design. It's actually really practical if your PC is making troubles and you can just minimize everything and look at your CPU/RAM usage or Top Processes skin to identify the problem.
Angel Lewis
>Arch >having anything out of the box Yeah, you are very new indeed.
Levi Cook
i.imgur.com/8nRqoXW.jpg thats weird... you seem to have saved that picture from reddit's image host? but you're using the epic dubs meme so i can tell you're longtime member of this subchan. interesting contradiction
Liam Campbell
>you can download a software >install it >get the plugins >get the skins >configure them >troubleshoot them >minimize to desktop or >ctrl+alt+del and open the task manager or the resource monitor at any time
No, because my computer is using a decent OS and has enough RAM.
Liam Collins
Arch and Gentoo are designed to be extremely customizable, with the user effectively assembling the OS themselves. Anyone who knows how to install Arch should have no probablem making their desktop look good
Jordan Garcia
>Not sure how it applies to Manjaro though Manjaro has stuff to make your DE unique. Of course by making it unique, I meant the rainmeter tier of uniqueness. You need to do your own thing no matter what you use.
Eli Ramirez
Fuck off bitch go cry somewhere you motherfuckers bitch about everything, I like Rainmeter and you can't do anythings about it you little cunt
Zachary Jones
people like to do or make useless things. just like how you even bothered posting about it here
Christian Stewart
eh it's actually useful to me. I have it on each work computer so I can see at a glance what is going on with the system resources. '
why you hate ?
Connor Gonzalez
That and conky are good for stuff like weather widgets and monitoring your temps if you're on a desktop. That's what I use it for.
>using swap What the fuck? It's 2018. Even my older laptops with 4GB of RAM running Linux or BSD struggle to use half of it. What are your running that eats so much memory? Even Windows 10 LTSB uses about 1GB idle with the page file off.
Except it's useful as fuck feggit, obviously an applebabby would not understand it though
If some process is fucky or you have too much porn open you can see it in an instant without the need for tskmgr
Matthew Murphy
Honestly? >No win port of conky.
Evan Brown
Eh... this is one of those programs that gets me into tinkering my computer visually to the point I became curious on Linux and switch to it. I still love it and consider it as a "nostalgia ware"
Jose Flores
Maybe just don't use it if u don't like aesthetics
>going out of the way to customize desktop just to make it uglier than default Ha
Eli Gomez
>minimize to desktop 1 button
>ctrl+alt+del 3 buttons
Angel Jones
It actually really isn't. Imagine the wasted cpu cycles. It's not like you actually know what processes are on your OS (because it's for Windows), and if isn't enough RAM Windows shows a warning by itself.
Jackson Nguyen
It's
fun.
Owen Garcia
>It's not like you actually know what processes are on your OS If I see something using a high percentage I can google it if I dont know it. This thread is
>wasted cpu cycles True I should just uninstall everything and use Internet explorer.
Logan Morris
I use Samurize. Usually it's on the far right of my right hand screen but I only have one at the moment instead of my usual three. I do find it useful for both games and programming, as I can see if lack of responsiveness is due to large amounts of computing being done or none at all.
