How do you know you don't have anything to hide? Most countries have legal codes so vast and vague that you're almost guaranteed to be guilty of something moderately serious. When I was in high school the overwhelming majority of my class were technically criminals of some color between underage drinking, illegal drug use, underage sex and piracy.

Because I have something to hide, also fuck off

Or

So would you mind if I read all your emails messages chats and see all your photos videos data etc ?

If everyone who has nothing to hide gives access to their private information, only the pedophiles and terrorists will remain.

Never used this, but ask them if they would be okay with giving their house key to the local authorities so they can come and check on them, just to make sure they aren't doing anything illegal.

The problem is if the talk is about government spying

>Because I have something to hide, also fuck off
"So you are doing something illegal, user"
>So would you mind if I read all your emails messages chats and see all your photos videos data etc ?
"Why would I show them to you? You are not the government or any other authority, user"

Or something among the lines of that

We all shit. We all know it happens. If there's nothing to be ashamed of, why are you hiding it?

boingboing.net/2016/06/16/woman-suing-us-govt-for-body.html

If she don't have nothing to hidden is right anal and vaginal search.

Interogaties, break privacity works as abuse or intimidation.

Just ask to people if because don't had nothing to hide means begin rigth anal search

>Do you like when people watch you take a shit?

Everyone should have something to hide. If you don't you need to stop and examine your life, something's gone wrong.

GIMME YOUR WALLET!

>"Why would I show them to you? You are not the government or any other authority, user"
Because I'm a private citizen who can't lock you up or otherwise persecute you if I don't like their contents. Out of the two options I'm by far the safer option here.

some additional responses
>Do you let anyone know your social security number?
>Do you let anyone know what health issues you may have?

I didn't mean I was replying to some authority.
Then in that case if my data is safley encrypted I would reply: "how would you know if I'm doing something illegal?" / I lost the decryption key.

At the 1st question something like 'I care about privacy because it's a basic human right'

>"And be in the same hole as you? Nah, I'm good"

Like 'yeah I'm hiding a something super secret, now try to guess my 4096 bit key'

>Well then show me your [part of the body normally covered by cloth]
If the other person shows me, then keep going until he refuses. Then ask him about the arbitrary limit.
>But you're not a cop/government
Then why can companies do it? It's not a conspiracy anymore. Alternatively, why is it defensible for the government to ask you for it. Finally, tell him they (companies) don't even ask for you to remove your clothes, they simply do it, and even while not using their products (shadow profiles)

Literally everyone has something they want to hide from someone. Credit and banking info is a good example in developed societies.

This.

Nobody knows when they are going to be in a compromised situation.

Maybe some relative goes missing, or you are victim of a crime, or maybe you involve in a social cause because something went horrible wrong with your community. Giving your information is giving the attacker the tools to translate that information into your guilt. Regardless of your position in that incident. It can be the law, it can be the society. Just look at the Jow Forums autist, they can dox someone unmasked at any protest. I live in Mexico and here the state and organized crime are colluded, they can use the government to make you the bad guy.

The problem with the "well then tell me your SSN, why don't you?" reply is that it implicitly accepts the premise that you need to have some kind of justification to keep things private. This premise is false and should be challenged directly. I don't have to justify keeping things private, you, or a company, or the government, have to justify why they think they get to look, and have to accept that they might not be able to even if they think they have a good reason.

>Get detained and accused of something you didn't do
>Get your anus fiddled with
>get X-ray'd
>AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL THAT
land of the free

Everyone has something to hide even if they dont know it yet

Quite simple, really.
I care about privacy so much because government is an institute which holds nigh-absolute monopoly on ability to call something illegal. This is what any ruling body strives to achieve, anywhere, at any given time.

Today it's illegal to to download pictures of fictional underage characters. Tomorrow it will be illegal to download pictures of animals. And day after tomorrow?

Your opponent stance is based on assumption that things in world stay static forever (or, more precisely, for as long as they themselves are alive), and they think /their/ belief that they are spotless is what makes them so. There is absolutely nothing supporting their theory that, let's say, it will be always legal to have consensual sex after you and your partner are both 30 years old. True, they may reply it's ridiculous - but so was idea of women having voting right. Or the idea that egyptian gods are true ones. Or, probably, that wearing hide of dead animal will help you to survive the cold weather.

>Give me your banking information then, don’t forget the PINs

but sir i am not hiding

Ask the person to undress in front of you, if the person refuses ask them if they have anything to hide.

The problem is that normalfags believe that the only thing someone would want to hide is something ILLEGAL, while it's not always the case.
Fapping to traps is perfectly legal, but I bet most people who do keep it a secret. Would they go to jail if it somehow became public knowledge? Probably not unless they live in a literal shithole, but it would still be an embarrassment.
Also, like other Anons have said, most legal systems are so complicated that pretty much everyone has committed a somewhat serious crime without even knowing it. Also, as it has already been said, privacy shouldn't even need any justification. The thing that needs justification is snooping in people's lives, that's why you need a warrant to investigate someone or search their house.

"Did you know I know you glow in the dark?"

i don't want to be part of the data that can be sold for marketing purposes

it's my small and almost insgnificant fight against the system, still more than what you do

Scoring one for the good guys by running them over with my car

Can I have a look through your phone then?

>"But user what do you have against ads? They're helpful for buying stuff and surely you'd rather have ads for things that you could be interest in based on your profile? They also help keep the Internet free by paying for websites!"

Because there is a small group of very powerful people that wants a one world government built over the 6.5 billion corpses, and giving access to my personal information is the easiest way to ensure that I will be among the corpses.

>You dont get to decide whether you have something to hide or not. Something you are doing now that is perfectly legal could be branded illegal tomorrow
"Well user, then I'd i will just stop doing that thing. gee that was hard"

checkmate Jow Forumstheists

i never said i was against ads

"Can I watch you shower?"

Privacy is a right, not a need. Fuck off.

Wow, can you imagine being such a loser you have no private life or secrets at all? I mean you'd have to literally have no friends. Well I'll see you around, agent.

>"Why would I show them to you? You are not the government or any other authority, user"
Can be answered with something like: "So you trust the government/etc. more than a friend?"

>muh privacy
>crime happens
>why wasn't the police able to catch the culprit

Attached: 888.jpg (600x641, 51K)

At this point just plug USB killer into their machine and walk away

Oh... guess you won't mind me releasing those videos from your bathroom I've been recording for the past 5 years?

It's simple. Ask them if you can listen in on all of their phone calls, read their emails, or anything that you wouldn't let anyone do if they asked you to borrow their phone.

If they say no, great you've made your point and there's no further argument necessary. If they say yes, ask to borrow their phone and make them regret it. If they say no to that, then they've made your point as well.

>if they asked you to borrow their phone.
Samefag here, I meant to say "if they asked you if they could borrow your phone."

Holy shit, this is an excellent response that would drive normies and thots mad, I'll probably use it next time someone brings this up.

I consider giving up privacy a punishment, something we do to criminals.
Why would I live in a jail voluntarily?

An intrusive surveillance-state government is far more dangerous than criminals or terrorists.

>if you aren't greedy, why don't you give me your wallet?
>if you aren't a scrooge, why keep your house door locked?
>if you are a good guy, why do you need a gun to protect yourself?
>if you aren't paranoid, why keep any passwords at all?
Because, in short, it's my private property, and none of your fucking business. My confidentiality is my security and well-being, and it has a great value to me. And I'm not giving it out for free in hands of some shady, unaccountable mystery company, to do whatever the fuck they want with it.
People used to fight and go to court for right to privacy. They used to pay private eyes. If you think it's "totally fine" to share everything, then perhaps you're paying your stupidity tax.

but I have, my bank account, email, etc.
if government can have access, what prevent hackers too

Jow Forumstards can't answer this kek

>Letting the government tell you how to live your life.

Well if you're a proud vagina I guess you don't need privacy.

Attached: 1521389709422.jpg (763x771, 60K)

>why do you use nazi war propaganda to justify your point

>implying that the nazis were wrong

muh freedom

Ask them to let me go through their phone/belongings

>because I might've committed a crime
No shit only criminals care about privacy!

But I have to hide that folder where I keep my legit incriminating evidence against da joos

Because get a warrant you fat fuck!

Attached: 1450059345936.jpg (1207x1190, 194K)

>POST YOUR FULL NAME, FACE, BIRTHDAY, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, AND YOUR ENTIRE BROWSING HISTORY RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!!!!

I have jury duty summons tuesday and I can only guess the courthouse check in is going to try to pull some shit with my phone or maybe the battery bank I'll be taking with me.

I'm a privileged white male who doesn't even want to be there.

If you have nothing to hide, why don't you post your bank details and street address?

Yeah I’ve got nothing to hide feel free to install cameras in my toilet

...

scum.

"They will outlaw something tomorrow. Like music I like or movies"
if they say its bs "mozila ceo was fire for giving money to ani gay marriage cause when MAJORITY of people were against gay marriage"

Because when you become someone higher than just office clerk and start crossing govt people lines, KGB will push on you or sell your data to some person who interested in pushing you down.

This is a common shit test used by wimen and beta males. Best way to pass shit tests is to concede the position and embrace it instead of denying and deflect.

Just say you got plenty things to hide from others including your 50,000 dick pics and 2 terabytes of porn of the questioning girl's attribute.

banking data
home address
business/work emails/documents

Attached: 1516378956705.jpg (625x552, 52K)

> girl

But I'm a devout Christian, I don't have dick picks and I don't watch porn, user.

>Can I have a look through your phone then?
Tihs. Power tripping can be easily abused in these kind of scenario

why do normies equate "have something to hide" with "be doing something illegal"?

bitch, you never photoed your onahole checking for hemorrhoids?

Why do you care so much about not having privacy when you don't even walk around naked?

"If you know I have nothing to hide, why do you want to spy on me"

Attached: 1512963178742.gif (240x240, 280K)

Because I don't know if you have something obviously

I hide my genius inventions from the evil corp so they can not misuse it for evil

illegal doe not mean automatically morally bad
something moral and good can become illegal in an corrupt and evil state

>*Because we are the government and we are doing the right thing narrative

that's the problem with such threads

all those people who don't like privacy, actually just have a dirty fetish that fbi man is watching them masterbate and taking showers.
they want to spread their fetish

BUT NOT WITH ME !!! YOU PERVERTS !!!

Fuck you OP and your dirty mind. Leave the good and nice people alone!
If you want dirty FBI man watch, then maybe you should get his number or something.

How can you call your data "private" when your sharing it amongst other people that will sell it further so it can exploit you and make money off of you. Your "personal" life is being given a pricetag.

Also letting these companies exploit you in this way is being a huge KEK.

if you give up privacy for safety
you will end up with not having any of those two
no safety but also no privacy

this is "corrupt government 101"
everyone should know that

Because people have tons of things to hide that aren't or shouldn't be illegal. Pervasive surveillance will prevent the evolution of society. It will prevent the next marginalized group from banding together for recognition. It will allow victimless crimes to continue to be crimes.

Imagine if the government knew of every gay lover, every alcohol-drinker string prohibition, every pot smoker, every gun owner, every religious person or every athiest. You never know when society will turn against you for something you do in the privacy of your own home - everyone on both the left and the right should be worried that they'll become the target.

In the past, the government was limited in how it could enforce laws like these. They weren't allowed into your home without warrant, they couldn't read your mail without warrant, they could only persecute you for your innocent associations as far as they knew they existed. Today things are different. Parallel construction means one day the police might get an "anonymous tip" with enough evidence for a no-knock raid in your house because you're a racist/communist/drinker/smoker/gay/etc. More and more evidence is digital, so with NSA backdoors in every CPU, it will be possible to plant CP on someone you don't like and then with your legal mass surveillance "catch" them. And what defense could they possibly have?

The only defense is the fact that the government needs evidence /before/ they breach your privacy.

Oh. So can I come over to your house and watch you shower? How about watching you on the toilet? Staring at you while you eat? Have sex? Can I listen in while you tell your personal secrets to your friends? You know... Since privacy clearly isn't important to you, none of those things should be a problem. Otherwise, what are you hiding?

> live in the UK
> can be arrested for hate speech

Congratulations, now people suddenly have valid things to hide for fear of getting shit on by their tyrannical government.

That good enough for you?

Why would you care so much about invading my privacy if I have nothing to show?

tell everything about you in this thread, where you live, where your family lives, all addresses and phone numbers of your friends, where you work.
Your life can be destroyed in seconds, with that knowledge.
You shouldn't even trust your own family with all information.
Then especially not some "Mr. Goldberg"

You should give your enemy as minimal of information.

There two kinds of people, one live in spying hell, and the other in communist heaven.
I see that you are the one living in communist heaven right now.
enjoy your ride, it is downhill from here.

"I want to hide what I have because I have loads of videos of you. You left your laptop webcam unsecured when you were changing and I filmed you naked a dozen times."

"Oh, that makes you uncomfortable? But you have nothing to hide, right? Why are you so against me filming you naked if you have nothing to hide."

Seattle
Seattle
I don't have any
I don't work

Come get me betch

>only posting the town's name
hah, got you
so you come to reason and also think now that some kind of privacy may be a good thing

>"We may not have anything to hide today, but the data will be collected, stored, and kept available. Can we say, with confidence, that we will trust the government that will exist in 10 years? 20 years? Because *that* government will have the data we generate today."

See: all of the despotic dictatorships who took power and went back through their records to find student activists who were in pro-democratic college clubs, intellectual groups, etc., and had them arrested/killed during their rise to power.

Attached: 1523162332670.jpg (633x652, 47K)

Next to all the reasons why privacy shouldn't be looked down upon there are lots of people that signed a contract to retain secrecy about information. If that information would leak out they could be sent to prison depending on the contract. So while it isn't illegal they sure as hell have things to hide.

>t. rapist

Attached: 1401724131509.jpg (1673x431, 355K)

This. Pol Pot's regime found "enemy's of the state" by going through decades old university records to find people with pro-western leanings. They'd show up at their house and say, "Twenty years ago you wrote a paper arguing that trade should be opened up with the west, that is anti-worker." then they would drag them off to prison. Imagine what they could've done with something like internet activity records.

This retard should have stopped after the second point.

>t. braindead, only living through life support called 'the hivemind'

sorry, that you don't have your own ideas, which may even be revolutionary, but hated by dictators
maybe go and vote for some communist dictator, so he can steal money from hard working people and put in your pocket

>So you don't mind if random strangers can make photo collections of your kids for their own viewing pleasure?
>It only takes a few dollars to purchase knowledge of someone's address, but I guess you don't mind.
