This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, fake sub, or other timepiece.
I am thinking of buying an Omega moon watch velcro strap for my watches, it's 19.5mm but it's 21inches long.
Can it be worn? I order 12 inch NATOs but even they have barely enough overlap for me to properly tighten them and put them in the keepers like you are supposed to do when wearing them. Could I modify it to use with my chronograph in normal wear? I found one on eBay for $85 from an official omega moonwatch kit.
Is there a way to get a Soyko watch without "Seiko" written on it? I like the look of that green Soyko but I couldn't live with it having "Seiko" written on it.
Reply to this with pictures of watches but only if you have a girlfriend / wife / fiance and choose to not put pictures of her on Jow Forums.
I think I'll sell this amphibia. I told myself I would wear it but I can't go back to my slavshit roots after getting a few nicer watches. I still think I want to go vintage in the future though.
I'll tell you user, the PRG-600 is a very nice watch but right now may not be the best time to get one. The LCD is prone to failure and I'm not sure Casio has solved the problem yet. is a safer bet, although i find it less appealing.
>Reply to this with pictures of watches but only if you have a girlfriend / wife / fiance and choose to not put pictures of her on Jow Forums. this is my girl, she wears and apple watch ;_;
>Here's my gf, she wears an apple watch tho :( Leave her for someone more nubile and horological bro srs

Wow someones trying to learn something about watches in a watch thread lets call them a retard Thanks

Brand recognition mostly, since Rolex is a more expensive brand than Omega today the same goes for the vintage market. Which is funny because Rolex used to be cheaper and Omega used to be better. The vintage Rolex market is all fucked up, I would love to own plenty of vintage Rolexes but the prices are absolutely way beyond what the watches are worth.
I never use lume desu. But I also think I’d find the 36mm too small. Does it wear bigger than an snk809?
Isaiah Bennett
Same but 30$ or less
Asher Ortiz
>36 too small I don't understand this meme. Unless you're Shrek windy-solar-knobman, 36 is a perfect size.
Sebastian Murphy
Much less so in my experience. I'd consider getting one but I still wear my 9400 a lot
Zachary Flores
>Why didnt you get this one? It's only 280mm, that's too short for me, I need a 13 or 14 inch strap
Evan Wilson
>You could have gotten a non-omega one for like $20 that's super long?
Evan Richardson
I know it doesn’t matter to most people in here but normies find 36mm pretty feminine in this day and age. Especially with the trend that even girls watches are 38+mm. I was also struggling to find a nice example the 36mm version near me.
do you have an actual space suit you want to wear the watch with or what? your wrists aren't that big
Jayden Wright
I am going to cut it to the length I want by taking out the middle to get it down to like 13 inches and have my gf sew it back together in the middle where you can't see
Kevin Sanders
I mean, the watch in the photo is a genuine Tudor BB.
