This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, Casio aq230, or other timepiece.
Xth for that guy who bought a aq230 years ago and is now afraid to use it and apologizes for owning one.
>Haha this so ironic nerdcore hispter watch >It's really shitty, look guys I hate it too! >Omg I just hate this watch so much, I could never actually use it.
>posting that same shitty reaction image every thread kys
Caleb Torres
I wore it during the retro hipster wave of the late 00 early 10s. No regerts.

>Saving a bunch of reaction images so you can please some autist's ocd.

I don’t apologise for owning one. Why would I even do that? I apologised for posting the high quality macro shots of the movement/dial which gets spammed a lot. I still wear it to work every so often but the scratches are getting pretty problematic.
That's really dressy. How's the plating holding up?
Adam Williams
fake tudorfag should post his fake tudor in that Jow Forums thread where they're jerking each other off about how many ponzi schemes they've been a part of to buy a rolex

Is the guy who got the white dial amphibia here? I only see one of those 020 cases and it says the bezel is bidirectional and nothing about it being clicky.
I have never been a fan of dive watches, but I have though about getting a amphibia with 420 case. Have to find a proper mint soviet one and I might go for it someday. Currently I am satisfied with my collection.
Yea 420 case is nice too. Maybe even go for an amphibia with the blocky paddle hands. But yea your collection makes me want to collect vintage Russian again.
Connor Lewis
Thread went were tudory, why do you do this man? gf didn't let you watch her getting fucked today or something?
Brandon Young
To elaborate on this incase anyone's not aware. The 50th anniversary ones are similar to 214s but aren't actually part compatible, meaning you can only really get them repaired by bulova.
Grayson Collins
>beta orbiting >cuck porn >fake Tudor Yep all checks out. Also guess I will just leave this here.
My Russian was never good and now it's also rusty but it's door 50th anniversary of something.

I had one of these that said grand seiko on it. It was before I knew anything about watches and was given to me by someone and it's lost now. I guess it was a fake but I wonder why someone would waste the time to put the gs logo on a seiko
Robert Perry
>10 year anniversary watch in soviet union >swiss made Utter herecy
Well, at least the commie serbs who had it managed to keep the case in good shape. I gave it a crystal replacement, a light polish and now it looks really good for its age. Going to buy an lizard strap for it in a few weeks.

It's the green, I think.
Carson Ortiz
Gruen* fucking phoneposting.
John Jones
Yesterday pic with half the polish progress, only the right side is polished on this pic, as you can see the left side have no reflexion and has many scratches. Now is completely polished and it looks really fine, give me a seconds to get a new pic.
Actually that's starting to look really nice. I would be very careful with the plating though.
Alexander Wright
don't wear that bro
Andrew Long
Bund straps
Luis Wilson
Why?
John Myers
It's called a bund strap. It was originally worn by pilots in case of fire which could heat the metal watch up and burn the pilot. I read that somewhere.
They should be avoided like HIV.
Gavin Parker
How did you learn Russian?
Christian Murphy
because wearing that on a cheap watch literally only goes with a trench coat and fedora and too thin beard
unironically
Nicholas Morales
Thanks
>They should be avoided like HIV
Is it considered a poor fashion choice? I just want something functional.
Ryder Edwards
I don't plan on wearing one on my bare wrist.
Alexander Harris
A regular bracelet or strap is perfectly functional
a three inch wide strip of leather really is not
Ayden Moore
I had it in junior high.
Logan Morgan
They're just really not in fashion right now because they were associated with rockers and goths.
Samuel Johnson
but they dont teach russian in america
Charles Sullivan
>but they dont teach russian in america DID HE FUCKING SAY HE LIVED IN AMERICA
