Can someone tell me how to stop this from fucking happening? I legit can’t screw in my DVI cable into my 1070 now cause those fucking metal screw things that belong in the 1070 keep getting pulled out. I screw them back into the card, plug in the DVI and try to screw it in so the cable is secured into the 1070 but it screws in half way, can’t get it to screw in anymore. The fuck do I do.

Also whoever designed this, is he still alive so I can seriously go and fucking murder him for designing this horrible shit?

Useless OP..
Buy an HDMI to DVI adapter.

Use DisplayPort like a real man

>he actually uses the screws on his dvi ports

>have HDMI port
>buy an adapter to switch a superior video port with no audio to an inferior video port with audio
Why

Still better than that vga cable that's for sure.

My bad, i'm retarded.
Apparently i can't destinguss between a vga and dvi cable. Even after OP wrote dvi.
Just kill me.

>Just kill me.
Do it yourself, you lazy motherfucker.

Put a little bit of JB Weld on them and screw them in. They'll never come out again.

Loctite is MADE for that shit.

DVI is superior to HDMI if you aren't a tard with the screws.

DisplayPort is better than both.

Needle nose pliers.

I remember having the exact same problem like....20 years ago.

I finally fixed it by switching to display port.

dubs of truth, this is the exact reason this shit was invented

righty tighty lefty loosey...why are majority tech savvy people are truly inept with basic analog repair? loctite or cyanoacrylate glue, a tiny drop works great, even a pass of tape or a strand of copper wire works, binding the threads... why cant you use your own heads to solve simple problems autist user?

I used to have audio over DVI.

But I had to use the DVI->HDMI adapter that came with the card in order to have working audio on HDMI.
Simple DVI->HDMI cable had no audio.

Tighten the bolts on the card with a wrench and only make the screws on the cable finger tight

They only ever need to be hand tightened.
