Corel Linux

btw i use arch linux

OpenSUSE

Pros:
- takes snapshots of system files to rollback bad updates
- installer supports a variety of DE's
- optional atomic updates
- thumbnails in the file picker

Cons:
- poor hardware support
- bloated packages

btw I use OpenSUSE

Ubuntu

CentOS. I made a granny-friendly computer out of it last year, and she was able to use it in under a day.
I like it because I just documented the fuck out of the configuration , and I don't have to worry about it being configured differently 5 years from now.
She likes it because it was easy to use, and I promised that it wouldn't force a 'Feature Update' on her.

install gentoo

Debian testing or ubuntu (mate)

Attached: 120.png (1035x1500, 605K)

i like gentoo!

antergos, never moved since.

Manjaro w/Cinnamon or Solus OS.
Had to go back to Windows10 unfortunately.

Fedora. Very stable and everything is easy but I still have control on everything. Very nice.

CloverOS

Windows 10

I've only ever used Manjaro, I'm considering moving to Debian testing
Is this a good idea?

Debian unstable on my laptop
Debian stable on the servers

debian stable and slackware

Manjaro and Arch
Manjaro has too many packages by default but it's good Manjaro for babies. Arch is literally the goat.

debian sid fag here. it depends. why do you want to move?

Ubuntu

Mandriva. Everything else is for brainlets.

i lieg args lingus :DDDD

Void
Pros:
Muh minimalism
No system dicks
Friendly IRC community
comfy
Cons:
Not many use it leading to package shortages
???

Gentoo Linux

Ubuntu Budgie.

Gentoo

OpenSUSE tumbleweed. Rolling release with easy snapshot/restore capabilities. Quality German engineering.

Debian for embedded and server shit. Fedora for workstations (although I'm considering switching to CentOS if it allows me to practice RHEL without having to pony up any cash. Thoughts?)

Linux - Gnu

Xubuntu

Tails and Trisquel for updating the first one

Gentoo, it's unironically great

KDE Neon

ahhh fedora + gnome make me peepee go big :-)

GENTOO FOR THE WIN

Black Arch

edgy distro

MX Linux.

RHEL

Gentoo is love, Gentoo is life.

Ubuntu

It works on its own so I can work on my own.

kde neon pretty based

Arch

Fuchsia.

Debian, because i don't give a shit about your meme distros

So edgy

I don't get it how people say debian is that good. How is it better than void Linux for instance?

NixOS > OpenSUSE > Arch

Because i don't have to spend 80% of my time to make something werk.

Really? Maybe I am a pleb but the few times I tried to Install it it did not go so well. But to be honest I did not try much

Anything Debian based desu

I always come back to Debian. Sometimes i use unstable sometimes testing.

non free firmware binary provided by void doesnt actually work

elementary

I am not shilling void. I am just saying that I like it more than debian and had more success with it than with debian.

im not shitposting that was my experience when i tried to switch to void

Just installed Kubuntu, KDE Neon is pretty neat, the desktop customization is great.

How is it for Jow Forumsayming?

Kubuntu, i use it 2 months already. it's nice.

I wold say
GuixSD > NixOS > Void

The only sensible option

Is Mint better than Ubuntu?

Xubuntu.

Used to prefer plain Ubuntu because of Unity's frugal use of vertical space and general ability to get out of my way, but since Canonical axed that... man, idk. Pop! OS is nice (despite me hating Gnome 3), but at the moment it seems likely that I'll use Mint KDE. I like Ubuntu derivatives for their huge repositories, and of all the KDE distros I tried Mint actually worked best out of the box.

Noob here.

I recently installed gentoo. My previous experiencs were with ubuntu and debian only.

Installation and configuration took me around 2-3 days but now I have everything I need functioning. I started using i3 and its great.

I can honestly say that gentoo was the best distro so far, even if a little more difficult (but I think its reputation is kinda exaggerated).

Definitely recommend, even to dumbuntu noobs like myself. Was good learning experince installing it and now it's very good operating system overall.

MX

Me too!

Yes

hey i use arch linux too btw

Btw I use Arch

OpenSUSE. It works. Packages are quite fresh, and you can painlessly switch to tumbleweed.
>- poor hardware support
Hardware support is good enough. I had less butthurt installing OpenSUSE than Debian or any other memes.

Unfortunately OpenSUSE did not detect my t520's speakers while Ubuntu and Fedora did. It just werks on my newer computer though.

5th user to say "Ubuntu" here

Plan 9.

macOS

Linux Mint
