Mobile Keyboards

What keyboard do you use for your phone user? Have you ever tried a physical one for mobile?

I've been using chrooma for quite a while now, and despite its aesthetic and gesture features, after scanning it with exodus, I found out it had way too many trackers on it, now I'm looking for a new one, hopefully open source

Which would you recommend?

Get a keyone

I just need a keyboard that minicks the iOS keyboard as closely as possible does that exist?

I use AnySoftKeyboard.

just get an iPhone jeez

Google keyboard

AOSP default

Keyboard 69 (Android)
Nintype (iOS)

It's simply the best. It's a bit heavy, even if you disable all the effects, but it's worth it.

Not really a fan of physical keyboards, besides, it looks weaker than my current phone

What a stupid response.

I think so, but I personally don't know any, you could try asking it on tho

Why are these keyboard apps so heavy ?

use an adaptor and mechanical keyboard

Not worth it at all

anysoftkeyboard has ios layout

>express privacy concerns
>suggests an even worse botnet
Ffs user

I have an s7 tho, where can I get this one?

UMA

Ditch the stock rom and install LineageOS or AOSP

hacker's keyboard

Simple keyboard.

> No emoji
> no autocorrect

It does the job though

I really need google Japanese input which is based on open source keyboard mozc by google just like chrome/chromium. You have to compile it but you can't because some package dependencies are inaccessible in their own repository. So basically there is no open source Japanese keyboard .

Thanks user, I was looking for an app like this.
Small package, open source & no gay cancer.

he was already sending his info, so it makes no difference if he does it twice.

Saw a package of it on fdroid, looks kinda bad but I'll still try it, thanks

What if he is using lineage is or sailfish os

Huh... Seems interesting, I'll try it, thanks

Toomany resorces I guess

Again, not a fan of physical keyboards on my phone

I'm not, using samsungs custom rom, but I wanna try out linage one day

Looks like shit, I'll pass

I can't seem to find it, could you link it please?

check out touchpal keyboard
it's hella fine

AnySoftKeyboard
Physical keyboards are garbage on mobile.

On phone so sry for shit link

I use Gboard firewalled of course.

Chrooma (Pro ver. behind AdAway) and Google Japanese input (because how else am I supposed to type in Japanese?).

SwiftKey is the only patrician choice. I don't give a flying fuck about their botnet.
It just works and it's smart as hell.

>SwiftKey is the only patrician choice.
This

Somebody mentioned Hackers Keyboard in a previous thread and I've been using it for six months now. It just werks

Hacker's keyboard. How the hell else am I supposed to use Termux?

I'd use hacker's keyboard but it doesn't have emoji or a pleasing material/non shit theme.

fuck off soiaboo

>how else am I supposed to type in Japanese?
you could try not being a faggot weeb

The BlackBerry virtual keyboard is really good. Use it for my Sony Xperia xz1 compact. Feels good. I just installed the blackberry manager by Cobalt and downloaded it through there.

>What keyboard do you use for your phone user?
Blackberry Keyboard.
>Have you ever tried a physical one for mobile?
Sure, I'm writing on my KeyOne's keyboard at the moment.
>Which would you recommend?
I recommend a Blackberry KeyOne, a Passport, a Classic or any phone having a physical keyboard. Software keyboards are vastly inferior for multiple reasons:
>waste resources
>unaccurate
>miss tactile feedback
>waste screen space while active
Since Passport, Blackberry physical keyboard is also capacitive: it allows gestures such as swipe and it can be used as a trackpad.

KeyOne is surely less powerful than a S7, but its battery last much longer and it's built like a rock. At the end of the day the choice of a phone depends on your usage: do you want a "premium" toy to show off to your friends? Or do you want an efficient working tool?

>it just works
try using it for more than a month pradesh

>proprietary privacy app

Seconded. Good enough for the late Steve Hawking, good enough for me.
