How may I automate changing shortcuts into their original files (images)? On Windows 7, if it matters.

If you don't need any games n shit that are exclusive to the win 10 store, 8 has the advantage of not being continually fucked with by ms, and it's still possible to avoid the backported telemetry by using wsus offline instead of windows update. there are other ways to copy the contents of a disk
using ddrescue suggests that the disk is damaged, and you're unable to take a file-level copy
if that's not the case, you can mount the disk and take a file-level copy instead, this will copy just that 15%

honestly, i would just rsync the contents of sdc3, then install a new copy of windows to a new disk
ddrescue is good for getting the most out of disks which are flakey, since it can resume/retry as much as needed, but ultimately, if data is corrupted due to bad sectors, the resulting copy won't be perfect, so you shouldn't keep using that installation, since ntfs provides no means to ensure files aren't corrupted

another option is to use ntfsclone, this can make sparse images of ntfs volumes, that take up only the space of what's on it
however, this assumes the ntfs filesystem is in good shape, since chkdsk failed, i don't know what you'll end up with

Also, I have followed a tutorial on how to use a tool by NirSoft called ProdKey and have recovered the windows key. I think I'll backup some important files and just clone with ddrescue, ignoring these messages.

the current GPT GUID doesn't matter since you'll be clobbering it by cloning sdc to it
these are supposed to be unique to each GPT header, so the fact they're the same suggests they were clones of each other at some point
you can change the GUID using gdisk if you like

the GUID only changes if you create a new GPT, changing the partition layout or contents doesn't affect it
you can make a new GPT from in gparted, which should do it, though this will remove existing partitions
changing the GUID from in gdisk will only change the GUID, leaving partitions as-is

So my SIM card is only working in the phone that it came with, every other one isn't allowing me to access the network and they're all GSM phones, I go to connect to the cell network (MetroPCS) and it says this sim does not allow access to this network.
