i think its an adapter to work on newer drrs maybe?(so you can use ddr3 ram on a ddr4 socket idk)

But It's DDR3 to DDR3.

>"I wish my ram was taller" shows no results on Google.
That's because you're a retard who can't use search engines.

ddr3 240 extender rdhs and you'd know this is you could read

I suspect it's to install those meme gaming RAM sticks that are getting bigger and bigger

I actually googled it.
It's a way to protect the original socket for people who do a loat of insertions/removal (maybe people doing overclocking or benchmarking or fixing computers).

That's why it's called an extender; it extends the life of the motherboard socket.

Why the fuck do you want your RAM to be taller? I want it to be SHORTER so it doesn't bang into my fucking CPU cooler.

You must be good at computers

It's so you can do this

when will ramlets learn?

We need to go deeper

>JET-5452CC Extender is designed to protect Memory Module and to extend the life of the original sockets on the system or tester. Simply plug the JET-5452CC into the DDR3 sockets on the motherboard or tester. Then insert the memory module onto the JET-5452CC for testing or burning-in.

>rdhs
lmao

Am I the only one who thought it was a reference to the song? ("I wish")

lel, ramlet

neat

ramlets BTFO

when will they learn

You raise the ram to prevent electrical infetterence you retard

The closer you are to the top of the troposphere, the cooler it is. So you'll need to raise your RAM higher.

You do this until the RAM is outside your case where you can see the LEDs properly.

It's like platform shoes for manlet ram sticks.

Now people who can't even use search engines makes threads here and people actually replies.

Jow Forums is dead.

Cant wait for LinusShillTips to make a video on "How many ram slot extenders can we use before signal loss?"

It's to provide enough spacing between ram modules so they are not so close to each other, for better cooling efficiency.

>he doesn’t gangle his memory
Too flipping kek

>unganged

It’s a fun post thread though

unganged is overall faster for normal use and gaming you idiotic children.

I can see some people using it simply for making available test contact points.

I didn't think that, but I love skee-lo.

Its used for testing. To connect and disconnect 1000 or 1000000 ram sticks to a motherboard without destroying the motherboard.
When the slot broke, you replace an one dollar riser instead of a 300 dollars motherboard

Put it in quotes you Kiwi troglodyte.

It lets you test lots of RAM sticks without wearing down the connector on the mainboard.

>he swaps memory stick so often the ports wear out

Yeah, well what do YOU do when they fill up, huh?

>not supergluing your RAM in
fucking peasants

>Burning in
kek

I don’t even think that’s a word

Something like this?

Do you hate yourself?

what if you are a youtuber who does reviews all day uhmmm?

pretty sure that's against the law in some states
