Github also sent out the exact same message about a week ago. Really makes you think...

Who cares? The password is randomly generated set of characters unique to that site. I just generated another random set of characters.

Good luck remembering it, faggot...

Gitlab sent one about 2 months ago.

You're either a troll, or someone who doesn't use a password manager. I'm not sure which is worse.

Yeah I love not being able to sign into anything because I'm on a different computer.

pls sign in and accept our new policies

>t. your masters

>open up phone
>login to password manager
>view password

Wow, so hard.

Now i'm gonna have to change all my passwords from hunter2!

>Alright let me just log in real quick
>Just need to get out my phone
>Pull up this app
>Gotta find the right password to use! Haha!
>Alright there it is
>Just gotta put my phone down here so I can see the password
>Just two dozen more characters to go
>Oh shoot did I make a typo? Let me just start over
Yeah fuck off, entropy doesnt make your password more secure and nobody wants your roblox account
The only legitimate use for password managers is at work.

>at work.

lol, who cares about work, let the browser store all the passwords, it is not my problem

Youre unfathomably stupid

>Open App
>Enter master password
>Select the site you need
>Enter password
Is it that hard?
>Did I make a typo?
Are you retarded?

great argument

Same thing happened to Github, seems some issue with bcrypt.

What's wrong with the story you just posted?

>online password manager service is down
>can't log into anything :(

>Hold on man. Before I can log in on your computer I just need to install this program.

>"Master Password"
>"The password is randomly generated set of characters"

>passwords are all locally saved and downloaded to any device you login with
>encrypted with the password you use to login

Also, why would I need a password if I don't have internet?

>Using botnet password manager in the first place

Why would you need to install a program every time you type in a password? Do you even know what you're talking about?

>Hold on man. Before I can log in on your computer I just need to install this program.
Install what? You can see the password on your phone.

>"The password is randomly generated set of characters"
You can't remember one password? I have to repeat my question about your mental abilities.

>"masking", whatever that means, instead of storing salted hashes
Twitter is a honeypot.

>bro, just use a short, easily guessed password
>its not like you need to keep your social security, banking, taxes, social, work, and other aspects of your life hidden from Pajeets, chinks, or other foreign hackers
>dude, it takes you 20 seconds to login to a pc you've never used before?
>that's stupid, it only takes me 5 seconds, all at the cost of having my identity stolen or life ruined

>What is bcrypt
I assume they've salted the bcrypt hashes

>>that's stupid, it only takes me 5 seconds, all at the cost of having my identity stolen or life ruined
*at the cost of a higher chance of that happening

>new device
>password manager service down
>can't log into anything
There.

>why would I need a password if I don't have internet?
Who said anything about the Internet being down? Regardless, domain or intranet or proxy or whatever...

In the last 2 years of using this, I have never seen the password manager service go down.

I also have 4 devices with the password manager. 3 home devices, and 1 at work. So it would be improbable not only the service is down, but all 4 of my devices were replaced at the same time.

>There.
I use pass.
Local copies of "database" are on my phone and laptop, synced through gitlab via SSH key and encrypted with my PGP that itself has 20-symbol password(that's my master password)

No need for internet.

Honestly, out of all the social media, Twitter is the only one I actually like and use.

>synced through github

Please tell me that it's a private repo.

>I can't read

>Please tell me that it's a private repo.
Yes. It's gitlab.
Though original version was on public GitHub.
Any reason to think they might be compromised?

That @idiot changed how I read that picture, I used the same tone in my head like I read Jow Forums posts.

So I'm not the only one with a special Jow Forums voice in my head?

I even got multiple, anime posters sound different than /lit/izens and when I'm on a board with flags every country has a bit of difference in the voice
