Gnome vs KDE

Which is best as of today?
Why?

KDE because QT
GNOME has retarded design more suited for tablets than PCs

gnome has extensions and better high dpi scaling
kde needs to remove all the bloated options and offer them seperately as extensions and also fix their scaling

>kde needs to remove all the bloated options
nice bait

Gnome is best

OP said today user, not two years ago. GNOME and KDE have basically flipped roles

There is virtually no question at this point.
Qt is simply a superior technology.
Red Hat doesn't give a fuck about desktop Linux and it shows in GNOME
Gnome needs to be used with a lot of 3rd party extensions that'll break with minor updates.

GNOME is way better

Gnome is best, even with all of it's faults. The Linux community chose it as the default desktop because they know what's best. Don't listen to the teeny turds shilling KDE.

why not just install both? then you can constantly switch between them to assuage your autism

>more suited for tablets than PCs
based on what? the applications grid?

Retards always make this claim because they've never actually used Gnome.

>i can't respond with anything related to the question
>insult

You can all shut the fuck up now.

>reeeeee
and you're wrong retard
the reason i don't use gnome is not because of it's ui
it's because it works like crap and the S O Y BOI devs working on it make shitty skin changes to justify a new version instead of fixing the bugs in their shitty spaghetti
FOR YEARS

now again
if you can't articulate anything factual to respond with
YOU STFU
bitch

>retards who choose to have no thumbnails on file pickers know what's best.
There is a reason why all those Ubuntu forks exist.
>inb4 bait

KDE

I've tried to use GNOME several times before and I can't go more than a couple days without getting fed up with the atrocious nonsensical user interface and zero customisability and switching to something else.

KDE has a much saner UI. There are some things I like about KDE, but its far too buggy. Whenever I've tried KDE I've enjoyed it until it inevitably falls over and dies in 1-2 weeks.

In the end I always come back to XFCE. In my experience its basically the same UI as KDE but lighter and actually stable enough to use for any reasonable amount of time.
