When was the last time you used a CD or DVD?

Yesterday. Burnt a dvd.

I had a movie evening yesterday. So, yesterday.

I still have much of my music on CDs

Ripping ITAOTS

Couple of months ago on a trip in an old car which had an equally old car radio.
All the CD's were from the 1990's.

When installing Windows 7, like 5 years ago.

I don't remember, but the other day I thought of ripping a CD to upload to a private tracker but then I remembered my new PC doesn't have a CD reader and I already sold my old pos laptop that could.

Give it like 10 years and discs will finally be dead.

Japan is still keeping the suckers alive but barely.

I regularly burn DVDs of new movies and shows for my friends. I keep telling them to just buy a huge USB drive to plug into their bluray players, but they're dumb.

Yesterday when I installed OpenMW.

>using one right now
i'm listening to an album on cd, using my portable

i use bd-r

I'm not sure but tonight I'm ripping some TV shows

truer words have never been spoken

Ripping my kpop CDs into flac.

played JSR on my dreamcast last week

I burn cds almost every week for my father.

I usually buy CDs to collect and rip FLAC files. Also buy Blurays sometimes too.

I keep a gparted live cd around.

My xbox one has to have the Fallout 4 disc in to play, so about 4 days ago.

DVD, last week, to burn an iso of 1.76 MiB (HDD Regenerator Bootable).

Did a memtest with UBCD

I keep buying cds but I've got no way of playing them

Playing tunes in the car.

Today, my shitbox has no AUX, only cd's

Yesterday and later on today.

Literally yesterday when the Merzbow CD I ordered arrived.

about 20 mins ago...i chopped a line of charlie on it to rail.

Yesterday when I watched Schindler's List.

LOL! Who uses optical discs anymore? The future is the cloud + streaming gramps

Last night

>buy CD's
>convert to .wav 1411 kbps
>never use streaming services

>dad we have to throw out this amp + CASSETTE player, it's ugly and takes up the entire shelf. You don't even use it anymore
>NO! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I PAID FOR THAT THING 40 YEAR AGO YOU WERE NOT EVEN BORN BACK THEN AND I PLAY CASETTES ALL THE TIME (he doesn't)
>literally needs to go to the attic to find a cassette
>plays it just for show

My new pickups. I've always liked CDs since I was a kid.

Why not just use flac?

Also I burned an image of arch to my cd the other day. Optical media still has it's place.

I'm wanting to get into mdisks for looong term backups.

FLAC still isn't universally available though. Bancamp and HDTracks are great, and iTunes occasionally sells ALAC, but every other store is just 320kbps mp3s. There's piracy, but sometimes it's difficult to find sometimes.

>tube amplifiers
>vinyl records
>audio cassette
You know it's good because it's old.
>optical disk
Nobodys interested gramps.

No I mean when you rip your cds.

A couple months ago helping a friend install ubuntu. He probably just fucked up making a bootable usb, but he claimed there was some hardware issue on his older laptop. I didn't feel like wasting time in case there was a real problem, so I just made a dvd.

The software that came with my portable cd/dvd player only supports wav

About two weeks ago. I burnt a few OS DVDs as back ups. As for music CDs of DVD/Blu-ray films or games....god, I don't know. Maybe 10 years ago.

My mistake, I'm a different person.

Oh, my mistake I thought you were saying that you still purchased all your music on cds, then brought them home to rip and listen to the files.

Yesterday. Avatar the last airbender

>I thought you were saying that you still purchased all your music on cds, then brought them home to rip and listen to the files.

That is exactly what I meant

Last time I put a DVD in my PC was a year ago
Last time I bought a DVD was in 2011

keep telling yourself you can hear the difference between mp3 and wav

What the fuck are you guys talking about? Just buy CDs and rip them to FLAC. End of story. It is superior to WAV.

Just today. I cant steam music and do internet at the same time so I burn music I rip off of youtube to CD.

Every day, cuz my old-ass car has neither AUX nor Bluetooth

>I burn music I rip off of youtube to CD.
absolute poverty

I rent or download burn blu-ray movies all the time because Netflix or similar streaming is awful if you have a real home theater setup.

We I listened to music on my car yesterday

you can rent blu rays from netflix

They make USB3 Blu-ray drives so you can use them on your Memebook.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

Today. Ripped a CD.

>optical media is going to die
How else do I hoard data?

It's not a "memebook", it's a desktop.

With a bunch of 8TB hard drives.

literally never

You sound like a faget. Why would you get rid of an amp anyway?

Some years ago, when I had to install Windows and Debian.

Brazil here.

today, at work

Ninguém liga de onde viestes, macaquito.

Today on my car

A few months ago. I had some porn on my dvd and transferred it to my USB drive

3 days ago. Made a bootable windows 7 N CD.

cloud my dude

The cloud is just someone's computer far away. Nice try cia nigger.

ew

>Paying to gives his data to corporation.

I burned a software CD this weekend to boot and crack a Windows 7 admin password.

>child tries to tells their father what they get to own
You are lucky you aren't my child I would have beaten you for such insolence.

today. playing games on my dreamcast.

Can't wait for this shit to die so I can only buy drm-infested lossy music for the same price.

>dreamcast
kek

How is that tube amplifier / record player setup in your Prius do when you drive over a speed bump in the parking lot of Trader Joes? It must have some serious vibration dampening.

laptop manufacturers that refuse to include optical drives blew their load way too early

>Not hooking a portable disk player + cassette adapter to it that you got for two bucks at a yard sale.

>It is superior to WAV
no, its the same thing

if the album is well produced , yes you can

Why not say optical disc? CD and DVD are normie terms.

>muh golden ears

why don't you go and do an a/b/x test of one of these "well produced" albums then

I am a trained mastering engineer and have worked on film soundtracks as well and can guarantee you can't tell the difference using consumer grade equipment

I'm using Sennheiser HD 650 + OBJECTIVE2+ODAC REV B.

I CAN hear a different in sound stage and the way interments sound. Especially female vocalist.

>Instruments

2008.

post A/B/X results, until then your word is worth nothing

>A/B/X
not him, but what is that?

69%

I got 44% :(

Today.
