>he has his monitor on 100% brightness, 100% contrast

haha, thanks lori

No, 120 cd/m2 and 6500k.

100% contrast usually fucks the contrast.
Actually I noticed anything other than the factory settings for contrast looks wrong.

>sets monitor to max brightness

98% of monitors today suck
>muh 144hz TN
enjoy the eyeburning cancer in a few years
>muh 4K shittywok IPS panel
Same garbage, is it even LEDlit?
>muh Ultrasharp LG panel
WLED backlight? GTFO

>mfw sensitive eyes so it's set at 0%

If I try to lower the brightness it makes a faint buzzing sound and goes completely black.
My monitor is 12 years old, can't afford a new one.

Yeah all those fuckin x-rays and microwaves those things throw at your face

What monitor should I buy? Thinking between 1920x1200, 2560x1440 and, if I can afford one, 3840x2160, somewhere in the 24-27" range.

im at 30% brightness and 81% contrast

>he doesn't use 0 brightness settings with dark themes on a oled (no lightbleed)

Sigh...

>t. never goes out

>he can't afford a lamp

qled samsung

This is normal because it isn't using as much power.

I have it at 100 brightness, can't see it if it's lower when sun is out. 100 contrast just distorts the image though.

I'm not sure if you're joking or didn't understand my post.

Brightness 50, Contrast 60, Volume 0, Sharpness 53, Saturation 50.

I have my monitors brightness set to 20% and blue reduced alot. To others my screens look yellow/orange but after about an hour use they look white again. I can't stand non low blue light screens now and i no longer get sore drousy eyes from prolonged pc use.

>fresh CRT but at 50Hz and 640x480 interlaced
>max brightness
>max contrast
>windows hotdog stand theme
>white balance to 50% blue boost
>2 days no sleep
>air humidity at 0%
>volume clipping overdrive grocery store ambient noises at christmas time blasting through in-ear headphones that came with your cheap phone
>sitting in front of it right after a eye doctor visit and pupil dilation drops

>using sharpness setting with a TFT display over a digital connection

Factory set it that way. I don't even know how to change it, it's greyed out.

>getting patronized by your TFT

that fucking sucks, man

Everything sucks.

My vision is augmented.

I just use lagom's monitor calibration until it looks good.

same problem with my 10 year old 16:10 monitor, buzzing sound below 100% brightness but it doesnt go black, yet

You can get a decent one for a hundred bucks user

anything under 600 is bullshit with all its backlight bleeding

Stop buying a new smartphone every 6 months or eat more ramen

yall niggas gay

shit there goes my wifi name

Get a cheap 24" 4k monitor for the next 4-ish years before good monitors actually become available. Tech has stagnated for a long time and it's about to burst.

Like Nigga Why Do You Need A Colorimeter Haa Haa Like Just Look At The Screen Nigga Don't You Know What Green Looks Like

You idiots do realize you could just install f.lux and not have this problem at all right? This is why I don't come on Jow Forums anymore

This.
I use redshift on my arch install.
Twilight on my android.

I can see all 8 shades on my 5 year old shitty $100 LG TN panel.

Y'all realize flux/redshift arent going to fix fucked colors/saturation from those 100% settings, and will exacerbate the issue, right?

4k at 27'' is pretty much a waste of money and processing power, at that size benefit over 1440p is not worth it. Get an all-purpose 27'' 1440p ips with 0 bad pixels warranty, like Dell U series or Asus PB.

120 is too low to reproduce certain saturations. Try 180: you'll like it.

Wtf are you talking about you reso eunuch, 4k is both more than twice as good as 1440 and yet not enough reso at 27 inches

>4K not enough reso at 27 inches
r/pcmr game child detected.

You must never look at images larger than wojaks and pepes. 4k is still underclass compared to most camera sensors.

You're a pleb, at 2x scaling 4K should be run at 24" to get ~100dpi (standard). If you want more screen realestate than 24" you need 5K/8K. 4K, if used for greater screen realestate (~40"-48") provides no greater DPI than 15 year old monitors. Why the fuck would you opt to see chunky visible pixels if you don't have to?

Im looking forward to 48" 8K monitors, i'll be set with 2x scaling high-dpi and 4x 1080p screen real-estate.

>48"
Edges of screen are too off axis. 34"ish 7680x5760 is ideal.

Perhaps, but i would like to manipulate things on the periphery of a large working space, so perhaps a curved 48" would be ideal. I agree a flat panel is an issue at that size.

26% and 63% and calibrated to 100cd/m2 and D65, thanks.

>sharpness setting
>makes everything blurry
Why is this setting even a thing
Why do manufacturers love to turn it on by default

not bright enough

>This is why I don't come on Jow Forums anymore
but then who was post
