If you have a mouse with back/forward buttons on the side, which is back and which is forward?

Depends on which way you're going, OP.

Most are forward is forward and back is back. But cheap shit like iHome products made them the opposite.

front is back, rear is F5

A

front is ptt, back is generally dodgeroll or blink

obviously, the button closer to the front of the mouse is the front and the other one is the back.

A, but i map "back" to backspace.

>forward
>back
this is a meme i use
>push to talk
>gesture mode

rear ist back, front ist f5

They're whatever you map them to OP. Does anyone actually use the defaults?

Copy/paste.
It's nice.

A.
Always A.
You go back far more than forward and the rear button is easier to hit.

>people actually use B

really activates the almonds

It does not matter. Human brains switch easily sides. Get used to anyone.

Just like left is top and right is down, front is top and back is down. Just think of which one comes first logically.

Remap to CTRL-Tab, CTRL-SHIFT-Tab. I almost never use forward, and don't use back very often, but I switch tabs all the time.

you know what that's a genious idea, I'm gonna map it like that right now

copy/paste you retard, i don't make mistakse

I use back more and the position of the keys and the size of the mouse and my hands make it so that the button more to the front of the mouse is more comfortable to use.
>not just using best settings for your particular case
Shiggy.

What about in programs other than your browser?

>>not just using best settings for your particular case

Wrong, forward is forward, back is back, middle is F5

forward is forward from back

A. I couldn't do the other way around its just built into me.

holy shit user, that's an amazing idea.

You push your mouse forward and pull it back towards you.
Why is 'B' even an option?

Mine is set A.
My mouse is also one of those mice with an excess of buttons so I'll set them to do stuff like print ".pick" into text boxes so I can beat my friends to the flowers our discord bot spits out.

>F: Media play/pause
>B: Task view
>F+M1: Media forward
>F+M2: Media backward
wish there was a way to make this work on youtube tho

Right click and left click

Not true, it's very difficult to change your dominant hand

>only having two extra buttons

I really, really wish that file managers would treat mouse4 as "go up a directory" instead of "go back". "back" isn't a very useful operation for browsing a directory tree, unlike a website.

Anime is for children.
