Most of you are probably newfags but back in the day we didn't like getting attention from stuff, we didn't want them to know that we know all of the ways into the most valuable trackers and that the ways are posted publicly (most normies don't get here so it's not an actual problem) so they won't block it. we wanted to never let them know we exist and for the ones who do to forget. Our goal was to never let the name /ptg/ get mentioned on private trackers/ IRC. What did we do to make that happen? You guessed it right, we created the /marked/ meme. Yes it's just a meme, stuff don't care one bit that you browser here, the ways to get ahead just might get blocked/ changed but you certainly won't. The thing that's hard for me to understand is how the meme is still alive so many years after, it seems like most of you believe it. I guess that what happens when all the oldfags ditch because they completed the pyramid and all that's left is newfags trying to climb

Are private trackers really that good? Call me a faggot, but I honestly like to seed, i like seeing how many files i distributed to other people and they enjoyed it. I seed everything back to a ratio of 3 except literal shit. Obscure and hard to find stuff with a few seeders is even better. It's like I keep that alive and without me those people wouldn't be able to get it, i just feel good. And man oh man seeing the ratios rise, and getting to the TB ranges on single torrents. I'm getting a boner just by thinking about it. I've been lurking in /ptg/ threads in a while, and as I've seen it, private trackers are shit, seedboxes don't let you seed, it's just a constant grind and the little extra content isn't worth it. There is only one private tracker that I use, >pic related even that rarely, and it's barely even international, it's just for my shitty little country, so i only use it if I need something in my language, which is almost never. My only regret is not getting into the goddess, i can't fucking download manga anywhere else.

It depends on the tracker. Some you have to grind it out and upload content to get anywhere. Others you can get by on just seeding alone with freeleech and bonus points or they're ratioless. Long term seeders are what trackers truly desire because they already have seedbox orgies the second something is uploaded.
