Because children already have computers that are more powerful and all they use them for is Facebook and porn.

Because young girls should take up gender studies while they are still gullible in order to sculpt them into proper figureheads of society,
while young boys should be given hormonal treatment early instead of patriarchal studies so they can turn gender-neutral and trans as early as possible and so their toxic masculinity can be cut off as soon as possible.

Because parents and kids can't figure them out instantly. There's a learning curve

Windows is actually an extremely popular operating system.

They did, massively, in the 80s. Literally millions of machines sold. Then cheap PCs happened.

once you get a little skill and knowledge you start playing with VMs instead

Based

They can't play Fortnite on it.

Toy computers made for children but used by adults caught on pretty well though.

They're cheap and use minimal power. Really makes for a good way to keep a server that barely needs any power.

But they did

They're selling millions of them user...

Because Parents have to know about too

Because the rPi is expensive as fuck if you don't live in a developing country. $50 here. And not enough people know about the cheap alternatives like Orange Pi.

>And not enough people know about the cheap alternatives like Orange Pi.
It's not that much cheaper and it's very poorly supported.

Kids are getting displaced by pajeets.

cute tabby

>never catch on
Didn't they sold like 14 million units like a year ago.
Buy now they probably sold close to 20 million.
That's not bad

They did. It was a flood of them. Have you never heard of a Vtech?

>toy computer for children
it did catch on. Its called iPad

i know you aren't referring to the PI
people try to take this as a full grown pc, it's not.
these little guys are more powerful than several of my early pc's but these were designed as learning tools
invent something, miniaturize something, learn
i have built small robots, flashy lights, i have a touch screen pi that i can configure as a home security manager or to control devices in my home
i have a stack of pi's connected to share memory, processor, drive space and it all runs on about 50 watts as apposed to the 1000+ watt power supply on any of my pc's
i convinced some to use a bunch of pi's for mining bit coin because their rigs were so loud and generated so much heat
