>Sitting on the bridge of the enterprise.
>Has excelsior cup

huh

I stopped liking in when I got old enough to recognize the social and political messages in it. I think that was around when First Contact came out in my teens.

2018.
It's still not the early 24th century.
It's still not 2061/2063/whatever the fuck (I'm foggy on my Trek timeline).
It's still not early 22nd century.

Don't worry, we've still got a third world war to face (with a half-billion or so dead) and the post-atomic horror.

>no flying cars

Holodeck: hologram sucking you off actually is photons. VR: sucked off in vr is probably your brother irl

but how the hell do I smell your farts across the internet?

>warp drive
That was invented in 2063 in the Star Trek universe tho.

you buy the vial for the smell via darknet

this world is made for the old fashioned life the sooner you realize it the better your life and this world becomes

Worst feel

Sounds like you'd best get to work, OP. We've got plenty to accomplish, and not all of it can be done here.

probably because were not embracing universal socialism

Just dropping by to say that I want to sexually fuck Darjeeling

barring those sociopolitical messages. I recently got into it because of the idea behind it. Exploring space, using the holodeck, investigating planets, having a charismatic problem solver that can bring false-gods down a level and his science officer helping rationalize unexplained phenomenal events.

Warp drive on Earth isn't invented until the late 21st century. Do you even watch Star Trek or do you just pretend to know things?

>2018
>Still not dead

what exactly did you see in First Contact that made you feel that way
it's been a while since I watched it, but if there was anything there it certainly wasn't anywhere near as hamfisted as modern cinema

we can already do all these things and more, but if the government came out with them they woudl have to explain where they got them. the thing is gravity and time are related so once you break gravity you can also break time. if you have a ship that creates its own field free from gravity you can travel instantaneously across lightyears

>still no space adventure

niggah, we can't even colonize Mars and you want to fold space?

Dude, First Contact isn't even till 2063. Relax.
