it's true though

That's 100% true though.

Kind of makes sense

I guess it's true, but the difference is negligible

>I don't know how to measure it, so it must not exist
audiophile hate is the new fedora-tipping

audiophiles don't understand why though
they genuinely believe 24-bit audio is superior even if the source material was not recorded at 24-bit, they'll take a 24-bit transcode of 16-bit 44.1kHz CD audio and "hear" things that aren't there

>save your images in 48 bit color depth rather than 24 bit for more colors you can't even perceive

>not letting your bytes breathe

Yh if the source is 16bit then its pointless circlejerking, the noise floor is already raised. This is why I don't get people who buy high fidelity systems and proceed to listen to old music like beatles records.

WHY????

>16.8mm2 plug for your speakers
>whole property is wired with non shielded 2.5mm2 cable

24bit allows for a lower noise floor hence breathing along with a finer resolution of the bit grid

No any mastering engineer and most audio would laugh in your face and piss on your grave

Doesn't matter only xlrs and trs have grounds

>not activating your almonds

Audiophiles aren't about music or logic. They just lack a personality and think big headphones will fix that.

>24bit allows for a lower noise floor
this is true

>a finer resolution of the bit grid
this is audiophile snake oil

No Beatles record is mix down from 16. If it's done right it's not even touching digital but at the very least it's 96k 24 or 192 because BBC has the best gear. At that point it's more accurate than a magnatized tape grid

>audiophiles: 24 bits is minimum for digital, can't even listen to standard 16 bit CDs anymore
>also audiophiles: vinyl is great even though its resolution is equivalent to less than 12 bits

>lets throw away all 8k equivalent film reel masters of all 20th century films lol
>oh wait

>8k equivalent film reel masters of all 20th century films
That would be which ones exactly? 4k is already a meme, you barely need more than 1080p really.

literally all of them 9gagger, the point im trying to make for people that can think on their own and dont need to remind themselves to mouth breathe is that thousands of film reels from the 20th century were thrown away because people thought that the scans made for their 2000-2010 releases were good enough, and then suddenly bluray is the new king, and turns out now you can scan that same film as high as 8k
you should literally kill yourself though dont bother replying

>people actually did this
>and got paid for it
absolutely buggles the mind

The only real reason for sticking to vinyl is for dynamics. thats it, even then, digital doesn't necessarily mean it's squashed, purely depends on who mastered the recording.

desu prefer big headphones over them stupid airpods atleast being a retard audiophile is less retarded than buying audio equipment for approval/fashion.

Old recordings were done on high-fidelity analog tape and sound loads better than modern overprocessed ProTools sludge

Vintage vinyl masters are often from better tapes than what modern remasters use, which don't always use the original tapes due to damage, loss, laziness, etc.

That has to be a mental disorder

>high-fidelity analog tape
Oxymoron, emphasis on moron.

Not every audiophile you meet online has fallen for the hires meme
