I wish the cups were round, it just looks weird preserving the original shape in the wood. But by the point you mod different cups on it you might as well have built your pair from T50RP to begin with.

Those cup tell me they did not give a flying fuck. It tells me that they have no skill and are wood for the sake of being wood. T60RP cups are unique and are very custom. You see them and think "yea that's a T60rp alright" when you see round wood cups you go" Is that a Denon? is that a TH900 is that a ATH ESW9".

beats dont even try to be even, they have eqd bass because the average person is impressed and delighted by heavy bass. in half the cars I ride in the radio has been eqd to increase the bass. if the ripoffs are just regular headphones you might prefer them if you like even balancing.

It's CUSTOM. It doesn't need to be recognizable as a certain headphone (also you can still easily tell by the sliders).

Boring. They are one of the most laid back headphones. They do nothing very well and have an artificial sound that you need to EQ out

Flat bass response moving into the midrange. Subbass is well extended with little roll off.
Usually flat to around 1kHz or so, give or take a few hundred Hz. Different models start the slope at different frequencies. Upper midrange response is very reduced in level. Can be as much as a 12 dB drop. The LCD-2 Classic may actually be anti-HRTF.
Low treble response is still recessed. Peaks begin to show up a little higher, this is partly a function of ear geometry. Moving into the high treble, the response picks up again. LCD headphones normally have a good treble extension.

the truth is that for almost everything audio related, most people just want heavy bass and will be disappointed by painstakingly accurate sound

Wireless is fine.
Problem is physical acoustics in general. Most in-ears are silly bass heavy.
I don't know why /hpg/ uses the expression "nigger bass" when most Chinese IEMs add +20dB to the lows.

Those tasks are more easily performed than you might suggest.

At $470 I'd buy a pair. They should be right around that price anyway, $600 is too much.
Looking at the graph(haven't heard them) they're still bright but the spike is lower in the fr, it looks more like hd800-birght than dt990-bright-earrape
This artist is a genius. Somehow they made this character look distinctly "off" but when you look at it as a whole it just looks like a normal anime girl yet you can tell it's a guy.

stax isn't off the table but i don't have the time, or even really a way, to sell my current stuff off and then get new stuff. Otherwise I would have at least old the hd6xx and my old dt990.
have barely spent any time listening to what I have at the moment either. Maybe next year I'll consider selling and going over to a stax or maybe hd800
