QBittorent

What's with all the qBittorrent hate in here?

>le stalled meme
This literally never happens to me. Get off your fucking dial-up I guess?

>abandonware
Do you want fucking daily builds like µBotnet just so they can add new malvertising?
They update when they need to, and last update was like two weeks ago.

Just launched qBittorrent and literally 1.5 seconds after starting that .torrent it's going 50+ MiB/s and climbing.
Sure as fuck no stalling here.

Jow Forums hates anything that is good. qBittorrent is good. That is all you need to know

I like it. You like it. It’s great and superior qt. So comfy with KDE

>tfw been using qBT for over 5 years with no problems
uTCucks don't know this feel, for they have forsaken themselves by using outdated proprietary malware.

I use it on both macOS and Windows.
It's no looker, but damn it runs great.

Saturates my bandwidth instantly and keeps it that way till done.
Also handles any number of active torrents it seems.

deluge vs qbit
which one is better on linux
go

I'd say qbutt, it has more active development

qtorrent doesn't like you not using qtorrent to manage files, and if you manage them without it throws a fucking fit
there is no stop button.
if file names are the same but the files are different, instead of naming it something with (1) or something like this, it just overwrites

It has quite a few problems that utorrent and others don't have,

delugeshills are just buttmad because deluge is dead

rtorrent.

I suspect this could be some artifact of QBitTorrent being made with GNU/Linux in mind, even if you delete a file it's seeding it doesn't get deleted until you close QBitTorrent and it closes the file (same way you can start playing a video file and delete it and it isn't actually deleted). Windows/MAC filesystems don't work like that. But how hard is it to right-click a file and choose remove before screwing around with your files anyway?

>tfw at fucking last this shit works perfectly

theres ktorrent and qTransmission

4.1.0 was a bïggë step.

Transmission

Hating qBittorrent is a meme. qBittorrent is awesome.

>∞ (seeded for ∞)
What did qbutt meme by this?

Attached: Screenshot_2018-05-15_21-38-35.png (404x676, 133K)

why don't they do "lts" releases to keep things more stable?

I haven't had a reason to switch from transmission yet.

Maybe utorrent shills tried to do damage control over the miners and the ads by attacking competitors but at the end people didn't buy it.

when you delete a file on any os it doesnt actually wipe it from the hard drive
it simply removes the pointer to the start of the file in your directory tree

its more about how qbutt handles files

>not using rutorrent like a cuck

QBit working great for me but I miss TPB search plugin.

STALLED

Did the meta change again? Jow Forums has always recommended qbittorent

>when you delete a file on any os it doesnt actually wipe it from the hard drive
>it simply removes the pointer to the start of the file in your directory tree
That's not what he's talking about, retard.

>not what hes talking about
he said that qbutt will keep seeding after you delete a file which must be because it is built for linux
how is that not what hes talking about

I have used it for probably 3 years now think after finding it. It's pretty good compared to uTorrent 2.2 which I think is the reference.

I have had torrents stalled on me but I have never heard any explanation.

Qbittorrent only works if you never try to pause and resume downloads, if you do it'll just stall...

The only issue I have with qbittorrent is the fact when you open up a magnet link it literally locks up the program until it loads the torrent data. Sure it's a second or two but it's bullshit.

Been using it for the last couple of yours

PEBKAC

>comparing to ancient version with numerous known security holes

aside from your underage writing style, the reason of the hate is that the new version came with some bugs (some of them more annoying than critical). But that always happens with a new version of any software, so it's just Jow Forums being autistic to change like always.

Why do my rss feeds off nyaa.si have to be refreshed individually to actually refresh? Kills me when my feeds aren't downloading my chink cartoons on time

That you are seeding without a limit set

>for they have forsaken themselves by using outdated proprietary malware
Maybe. But wouldn't you consider Windows proprietary malware as well?

Yes. There's a reason I've used GNU/Linux exclusively for over a decade.

werks for me

qbittorent is shit.

Whenever Jow Forums belligerently hates something it usually means it sees widespread due to a degree of usefulness/quality and all the hipsters here dislike things that everyone uses.

Post your settings retarded fuck

>This literally never happens to me
It didn't happen to me either that much, but since upgrading to v4.1.0 every other torrent gets stalled. If I leave it like that for a few hours it just randomly starts downloading.

>queueStalledmeme

>381 torrents
>0B/s upload

It doesnt make sense though. How can I be seeding for infinity? It will tell you how long its been active for up until 100 days then it just says fuck it.

been like this for the past fucking week.

qbitorrent is the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best

Attached: qbtorrent_the_best.png (481x360, 152K)

>without set limit
it cant be that, see how its sorted by time seeded: it refers to seeding for more than 100 days
firefox does the same thing on mobile if you have 100+ tabs open
