eslposters are disgusting

LibreOffice

I don't get it?
why are you mad?
I never paid for any MS product
so what's the problem?

using keygen?

Libreoffice is the best alternative

using activator
never crashed, never asked for key, nothing.

>Hello my name is Rajesh from the Microsoft support desk
>I see you have problem, hmmm very strange mam
>Let me give you some options, mam

Libre is ok, it doesn't come with a email client though, like outlook.

That's what Thunderfox or Claws Mail is for, faggot.

Pages and Numbers
Latex for anything important

FACT: People only complain about Office because of the price.

OTHER FACT: You get office for free if you attend uni/college.

Therefore, get to it losers.

Oh and I forgot, for those literally too inbred to even attend school for a semester, paying $8/mo (when you need it) for storage is the best deal by itself, completely ignoring the fact that you also get Office.

Literally no excuse.

>no thunderbird
Ok

Honestly the only thing Microsoft has going for it is their Excel Macros. Excel macros in unique office situations (an industry standard feature for businesses now) can’t even attempt to be replicated by libreoffice.

That feature alone forces me to run full featured MS Office no matter what, making me run it in a VM usually.

This, I took one course in university, and now I get office at university price for the rest of my life

libre is shit. just use google docs or office online if you are too poor to buy the real thing

>OTHER FACT: You get office for free if you attend uni/college.
I've got windows, visual studio enterprise, ms project and a bunch of other stuff, but not office.

Don't be a thundercunt, my point was libre doesn't have a mail client.

which one?

LO Writer is ok if you actually take time to learn it. Google presentations seems an ok alternative for power point imo, since impress gets too little love from devs. Calc is ok if you dont plan to touch excell files or use macros (so its not ok, but ok if you do simple shit with it) never used outlook or notes.

ANOTHER FACT:
I owned office 2007 and got access to new ones from uni, and never used it anyways because I already knew how to use LO.

I am using SoftMaker Office on my Linux and Android devices.
It supports the native M$ documents and has all the features I have ever needed.

The only disadvantage is that it does not include a mailclient.
But I use kmail anyway.

LibreOffice is pretty good.

LaTeX

Using Word, Excel and/or Powerpoint is a symptom of having a garbage business that does things out of ritual rather than it being the correct thing to do. Word should be replaced with Latex for clients and plain text editors internally; Excel should be replaced with SQL, and Powerpoint should be replaced with nothing at all.

Now, Outlook, OneNote, and Visio have legitimate use cases. But those first three? Garbage.

I usually just download some ready re-pack.

For Word

Just use R-Markdown (it's literally the best markdown language) it has the ability to run code snippets, use LaTeX snippets and you can save files as PDF or HTML/CSS

It's great.

>expecting normies to use such things
>implyong they have no use case for powerpoint

Am I being baited? Is this whole thread bait?

This

>SoftMaker Office
payware proprietary shit

>he's so brainlet that he doesn't know that PowerPoint can replace every program
youtube.com/watch?v=uNjxe8ShM-8

Unironically this.

everyone gets the online version of office for free.

I'd like to switch to LibreOffice but the interface is ugly af. I've been looking a few themes but I wasn't satisfied. Do you know any nice-looking theme, anons?

Same.

I've used libre on manjaro and it couldn't even change font face without breaking itself

What's the point of fucking off of MS Office? $200 is nothing if you actually use it for work.

I recently bought an Office 2016 key on eBay for $2 and some change. Activated fine.

I wonder who could be behind this post?

Excel is not a database even if some people use it like it is.

t. unemployed

All the office products have been refined over 30 years to the point no other software can even dream of competing. This is microsoft's flagship and the standard of the entire world. Its the same with photoshop and gimp.

yeah you got no idea what Excel gets used for
on the other i agree

libreoffice

libreoffice got me thru my entire college career
