I really enjoy solarized, both light and dark. I really don't understand the ligh/dark debate, there are different schemes for different environments

default sublime colors

>take people who read black on white most of their life for your study
>later even acknowledge that 50% of the population has a genetic problem with reading white on black

well that doesnt prove much other than that it really depends on the individual.

Bestest

bright red background is a must, keeps you on edge for better performance. Dark theme makes you feel drowsy and white theme makes you feel relaxed and unfocused.

Monochromatic black on white.

monokai is my favourite color scheme (sublime text default.) the slightly reddish grey background is gently warm while still offering the ideal grey contrast to the text

zenburn

acme colors

Blue themes make your computer run cooler.

Unironically, black on white or white on black.

After using so many themes I've found the colors actually break the readability of the text. Imagine trying to read a book where every noun, verb, adjective, etc was a different color.

Material Dark Ocean High Contrast is best girl.

One Dark

I don't get how people can code with dark themes. All the black just makes me sleepy

this
solarized for ever

t. edgy freshman
I LOVE DARK THEMES! Im a hacker XD just installed Kali Linux and I dual boot with Windows 10 because it has dark theme too!!! XD

that's the point
how are you supposed to sleep at work if your monitor is too bright?

desu you sound more like an edgy freshman than anyone you mentioned
also you seem to be taking this wayyyy too much to heart

Light during the day and dark when I have to work at night.

I like Darcula (the intelliJ one)

CALL ON MEEEEEEEE

those studies are shit, though

>months ago I use arch and get called a faggot and tryhard but still use it because it's genuinely the best
Now everyone on Jow Forums is using arch
>always use light themes for coding, in my terminal, etc, but get called a faggot and tryhard
Now everyone on Jow Forums is starting to use light themes. Holy fuck I just realized it. You guys are hipsters. Why have I been so blind this whole time?
>inb4 the white terminal

Whatever you say, hackerman :^)

switched from the dark theme to the light theme on cisual code recently.

I use light background themes because I don't live in a cave with little to no lighting.

I use this one
github.com/dracula/kate

found it nice

>literally 50%

Solarized light on the day.
Solarized dark on the night.

hol up so what you be sayin is I'm supposed to use a white background because 50% of people have retarded malfunctioning eyes?

this

solarized light. No need for dark theme because of redshift and brightness.

Yellow on white, neon green highlighting, off white underlining

Wait what? My eyesight is pretty shit and I can't even see that well with glasses put on by now, but I find dark themes much better. Light themes hurt my eyes.

I'm a huge fan of Farout. I don't know if it's really optimized for special eyes or some shit but it's cozy.

github.com/fcpg/vim-farout

I even use it as my wm theme

Ayu

What are some good color schemes that don't make my editor look like a rainbow? So not like this

Solarized vs. Gruvbox, go

For some reason the default themes make me feel disgusted. It's like it's a dirty, unconfigured environment that I'll have to work around instead of working with, or perhaps that one colleague that leaves everything on default and right-clicks with the mouse to copy paste, and it makes me deeply uncomfortable.

Paraiso dark is best

Are you sitting all day in a dark room with the only light coming from your computer screen? Does going outside during the day also hurt your eyes?
