there is one that comes stock with it now
theres actually two, a high dpi and an extra high dpi. you can find them under settings->window-manager->style tab

I run debian+xfce4 and i really like it so far. The only thing I don't like is how much a pain in the ass it is to change screen brightness by software and not hardware... but that's ok

Xubuntu is a lot better than Ubongo Mate. Tried Mate last week and was very disappointed.

This is one of it's minor annoyances.
Xfwm4.13 fixed tearing so no Compton is needed on beta builds and soon on the 4.14 stable.

Do you even know what you're talking about or are you a newfag trying to fit in by parroting?
GNOME uses over 1GB RAM out of the box. The DE is so poorly optimized it's embarrassing. It's even more embarrassing because they do their best to remove functionality with each version and instead of this making the DE lighter it just makes it worse. With how useless and minimal GNOME is you'd expect it to be almost as light as LXDE.
Xfce is much more stable and easier to use.

Don't know if it's just me but on my system Gnome was slower.
And xfce looks as bad as you can make it look.
It's quite customizable.
