Is Ubiquity the Apple of network equipment? I feel like I'm getting memed

Is Ubiquity the Apple of network equipment? I feel like I'm getting memed.

I need an access point for a small business (~30 clients).

kind of. theyre easy to set up, work well but are pretty pricey. whenever i sell them they only get returned when the user couldnt configure them (retards). A lot of people are beyond happy about them and thank me...

How is the configuration though? Can you tweak everything you want (if you want) or are they retard proofed like apple trash with almost no way around?

client have low budget: D-link
client have hight budget: Zyxel

you can tweak stuff but you need a fucking app to set them up i think. honestly they seem to be the best access points for most people i think. the ac lr get pretty good range.

Eh?

No, they are fine products but a bit pricey like the other user said

>see latest Linux Tech Tips video about wifi over 12km where they use ubiquity
>see this post on Jow Forums
hm... I wonder... Is there correlation... :^)

i overheard that video today. god i hate linus, he posts such boring shit yet gets so many views

>trust me guys! I overheard it! Totally not using his gay tips!
Sure mate. ;^)
Yesterday I "overheard" latina porn. :^)

>but are pretty pricey
nigger what the fuck...

they're meant to be the cheap alternative to actual enterprise gear.

Aruba isn't as pretty, but I have found them to be way more relaible than Ubiquity. Plus, they have a ton more features, and this really cool built in management interface that doesnt require you buy a dongle or set up a VM somewhere.

They are expensive compared to 20 tp link shitboxes, a setup that is popular here for people who don't want to pay for a real setup.

>Aruba isn't as pretty, but I have found them to be way more relaible than Ubiquity
yeah, and only 3-4x the cost.

Lotsa people say use miktrotik, but you don't want to be part of the Russian botnet, do you? Ubiquity has really nice software and great hardware.

Well compared to actual enterprise gear from Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, etc, it's dirt cheap.

You can get a 205 for around $300 as a partner

that's just their end-user stuff. Ubiquity has some serious shit too. I used to work for gov't contractors and Ubiquity techs would call me from the field in afghanistan complaining about their towers getting shelled by the Taliban

>You can get a 205 for around $300
>2x2 MIMO
>2.4 GHz ( 300 Mbps max rate ) and 5 GHz ( 867 Mbps
Wow

Here is what $300 gets me from ubiquiti
>Unifi AC-HD ($288 on amazon)
>4x4 MIMO
>2.4 GHz Radio Rate- 800 Mbps, 5 GHz Radio Rate- 1733 Mbps

hmmmmmmm i wonder which i'd rather have.

So, do I get the PRO or the LR? I just need to cover a small workshop; 50mx20m, with the AP in the center on the ceiling.

Or do I full YOLO and install the HD?

As I said peak load right now should be around 30 devices, with nothing crucial running on wifi. It's just the men are starting to complain about not getting any wifi. The whole network is running on an old asus router in a closet at the moment (RIP).

So what do you recommend?

The true full YOLO is the Unifi AC‑SHD, or if you have access to the beta store the $700 Unifi XG Access point.

Isn't this like an indoor router?
I live in shitty country where ISP still use broadband.
I currently have NanoStation 5, but I think it's time to upgrade.

Yesterday I watched shit loads Latina porn, but I unfortunately overheard some cuck shit, anyone know what a “Mandingo” is? I need to google it so I can make fun of my room mate

I actually got memed with that Ubiquity crap and did exactly what you are about to do, so please listen: DO NOT BUY THAT SHIT

IT'S LITERALLY HORSE SHIT, CHECK THEIR FORUMS IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME.

what was your problem exactly? I work at a 5 stores building and with just one per floor we have a great connection and speed
also you can build your own landing page anda many more things

>Is Ubiquity the Apple of network equipment? I feel like I'm getting memed.

Not really, aside from the price. But unlike Apple products they usually perform better compared to similarly priced hardware.

No, they can handle high throughput. It just looks gay.
