The voice is really the only hard part to argue with. It sounds like its voice works more like Mumble than like Matrix, in which case there's not exactly something that does it all the same. I can't imagine wanting to use it for voice. I don't particularly like the interface from what I've seen. With IRC I can use a command line client and get extremely dense text. All the recent webshit has a lot of wasted space.
