My friends screen goes weird and he needs to reboot it sometimes. He's probably dumb, and I would still get one if I had the cash though

Who cares if it's repairable or not when they charge you 300+ dollars for mobo work. By the time an issue arrises you're paying so much to repair an already old device. If it's out of warranty it isn't even worth it.

I think the cloth makes the laptop really comfortable to type on. Would be nice if it was a replaceable cover, though, both because it's bound to get filthy, partly to give users who dislike it an alternative. As it is now, the entire thing's an unrepairable piece of shit.

Surface laptop is a no no, on the other hand the surface book 2 it's the best notebook i've ever had

I had a buddy use it for petroleum engineering classes
Having carried a heavy ass full size laptop, I still hate tablets
But I'm starting to see the appeal

Just get a MacBook Pro, it's clearly the class leader in that price range

And you can put Windows on it if you want - I have mine set up for dual boot and it's very useful

Yeah, if it's simple programs.

But the shit i dealt with is control programs for analyzer systems and these tend to utilize certain libraries which are available only for windows.

You could run it on virtual machine but that can and will bring other issues with it

It's the microsoft attempt at capitalizing on the Apple market by making the same mistakes.
