What do I have to know before attempting to install TempleOS on actual hardware?

I heard something about using IDE over SATA. Even Terry runs it in a VM because he's not able to install it on his own machine.

You're wasting your time

what have we been saying about the project being trivial

I don't think it's really usefull to use on real hardware, just use a VM to play with it.

> Templars

when did he give us a name ? i dig it.

>still uses ubuntu

why is ascii so niggerlicious?

what do you mean

get a small netbook and make that your templeOS machine
in this way results happiness

careful what you say about the Lord's character encoding

I suggest u pray n fast over the matter

>because he's not able to install it on his own machine.
Surely he's not able to install it on his own machine because he's homeless and his shit got stolen.

How can I edit Terry's Jow Forums wiki page? wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Terry_Davis

I want to add some biography and quotes and stuff.

Get an account and go into the source tab to edit

anyone here know what's the difference between the:

homepage version (templeos.org)
and the
download version (templeos.org/Downloads)

the download-page version is 4kb smaller than the homepage version

i've VM'd both of them and, so far, they seem to be the exact same
the problem is, coming from Terry Davis, 4kb could mean the difference between actually talking to God, or being decieved by infiltrated CIA niggerkikes

help?

Attached: 4kb.png (640x138, 17K)

should work at least on some

Attached: tos_c.jpg (3264x2448, 669K)

It probably won't work

your setup looks kinda comfy / 10
for maximum results, add some crochet cyan blankets and remove those nigger-colored acessories
god only deals with whites

what country is that keyboard from?

muay thai tranny land i'm guessing

i saved these from some thread over a year ago

Attached: tos_boot.webm (1920x1080, 2.99M)

Obviously the larger ISO is compromised and full of CIA spyware or HolyBotnet

yeah, i thought this was saved after seeing it was TempleOS v4.120
it's great seeing it run on bare metal though.
i'm going to buy an old Dell Optiflex, CRT Monitor and PS/2 inputs, paint them pearl white and go full templard

explain to a brainlet what's so interesting about TempleOS besides Terry himself

I thought something was up
Seems like the niggerkikes at KiwiFarms have been maintaining the homepage after Terry went full survivalist.
I'm running both "version" side-by-side to try to find wtf is different

will report back

>HolyBotnet
Activate it

Anyone the vid where he eats chips and drinks coke.

Shell and programs use the same compiler meaning everything uses the same syntax.
Hypertext can be anywhere.
Images, meshes, etc are directly embedded in source code.

Only this., Classic Terry

Also if you #include a holyc file at the shell, all functions in the file become available at the command line.
If you type a mathematical expression on the command line it will give you the answer

that sounds neat but what does it mean for real world use? Is the OS more responsive than others? More customizable?

It's a very "close to the metal" OS
Once you get used to the interface you realize you've been given a surprising (sometimes frightening) degree of control.

doesn't that mean that it would be insanely insecure if it supported real standards and had networking?

TempleOS was MADE, from the ground up, to:
1) do holy offerings, generate hymns and talk to God
2) incentivize recreational programming (be a nostalgic throwback to Commodore 64)

it does those two things pretty well, that's why it's HolyC / 10

oh yes
however, trying to support "real standards" and networking sort of misses the point of TempleOS.

does anyone have the link to that ISO.C file that has some games and the gameboy emulator?
i remember some people sending Terry the file so he could toy with it.

Depends what you mean by "real world use". TempleOS on the simplest level is a modern Commodore 64. You are probably actually asking whether or not TempleOS would be useful in a professional environment of any sort. There's a lot that "real world" systems could learn from TempleOS and I would say that it could be used for whatever you wanted to use it for so long as you wrote the software to do so.

for instance, the possibility to embed rotating 3d models into pretty much 'anything' is something i can't live without anymore.

gyroscoping dicks everywhere

God does not allow networking so it doesn't matter.

God actually does, it's just that TempleOS already uses like 70k lines of code and networking would make that go above the 100k LOC which God set as the limit.
Imo what TempleOS really needs is 32 colours ( yes I am a nigger and homo artist)

Terry art thread now

>entertaining a basket-case schizo
Terryposting is pretty cruel.

Actually he does, Terry announced a few days ago in a video that networking is coming to TempleOS.

Attached: 1508575202108.png (366x300, 135K)

where is he going to write the network stack? on the fucking street?
He's losing his mind
Yesterday, he came to IRC to use the GodWords bot and he said "Hi Dianna" some of the regular faggots on the channel

Dont make fun of Terry please.
The guy has lucid periods where he makes sense.

Post pics

>There's a lot that "real world" systems could learn from TempleOS
With the same level of success they can learn from any other hobbyist OS
TempleOS is cute for Jow Forums just because of Terry, it's practical value is close to none

That doesn't nullify my statement. TempleOS is pretty interesting in my opinion if only because of HolyC which would have a good amount of practical value as a C implementation.

>What do I have to know before attempting to install TempleOS on actual hardware?
Embark to a trip to Jerusalem before installing TempleOS.

int8, uint8, float32, float64 and whatnot should have been the standard long ago.

it could be the smaller version too.

here's an aliased non compressed logo

I learned about pointers in temple
I could have learned them anywhere else of course
But idk it's cool

>not 640x480
i'm both impressed and disgusted by the non-Divine resolution

thank you, sir, t-shirt ordered
i'm going to post pictures with it when it comes

Okay, so any idea what text to put on the back of the t-shirt?
Maybe a quote from Terry? I just can't pick one.

Attached: -.png (869x392, 83K)

actually i recommend you make it simple.
front image only. and make it way smaller.

it's best if people come to you asking what does the image means.

if you have a quote or "templeOS" on the back, people will generally shy away and google it later.

seriously, what did god mean by this?

if we go by the first word of the gematria list it would be "view beams jesus".
if terry is jesus, the new king by divine right, does this means i have to take a look at his 'long beam'?

wtf god

Attached: is this beams.jpg (477x719, 51K)

maybe it means looking at the dong of the saviour is a-ok

no,you need to pick a value closest or equal to the jewish type gematria so the word is larry.

actually, of all the exact matches from the jewish-type, the first one is "Russian"
>view beams russian

look at russian missiles?
is war coming?

Attached: war is coming.png (630x630, 45K)

>view beams 'russian'
>easy fought unkindled gales
>profession disclaimers plainer
>fully proclaiming barbarism
>painful irons ourselves

shit when you add russian it actually gets scary for a bit
