stax enter point is 1k not 200.

save up for l300 not trash like beyer or sennheiser

Gate keeping audiophool. Don't make me red pill people on stax pal.

Don't engage with argon user. He craves the attention.

paul allen owned stax

does the ohms matter

Attached: Capture.png (258x78, 3K)

32 will go the loudest from your source. I've found 250 was okay from a phone and computer, but judge for yourself how loud you want it.
For beyers, the higher ohm ones sound better.

I like stax I really do. But you guys make me feel ashamed to have them. It's hard to justify them when you are around. The nice people are looking for headphones for them not headphones you lost your virginity to, pals. So could you please respond to them in kind.

you don't own stax

Stax desu tbf

this but stax

How much different is the L300 from the L300LE?
Is it worth the price increase?

I dont have any creaking in mine yet. Tbh I dont even really know what this creaking you keep talking about comes from

Attached: 20180528_204804-1.jpg (3166x1579, 908K)

Nope. You stop at L300. You get into the "little bit better" s o y mind.

you will gearspammer

Fairly different. I'd go for a used L700 if possible though. L700 has a better headband and pads, so buying those separately would bring the price of the L300LE to about $1000. If imaging and soundstage are important to you or you don't EQ, definitely consider it.

I've heard l300le=l500 and the l500 isn't significantly better than the l300. If youre upgrading from l300 its more worthwhile to just jump straight to l700

Stax, amirite?

L300LE is L700 drivers + L500 pads + L300 headband.
It's a dumb forced meme and a non-issue.

U rite

Well I see /hpg/ is back to normal today.

Also stax

reminder that lewd op pics and argon user bring out the stax shitposters

They're pretty new, there's only one review out right now.

You're annoying, pipe down.

11 OPs. They have autism. Argon user pissed them of again.

Reminder not to buy Kannon.

sony discontinues every good headphone they make, it's retarded

are soundcards with built in DACS good or would it be better to just run a DAC from a computer's audio ports

We did it, reddit!

any modern motherboard should have a fine enough dac so you are better off getting a dedicated amp than a soundcard

>Oy vay it's a forced meme goyim! Nothing really *rubs hands*
>They know. Shut it down!

you are gatekept not because of your headphones but your shit personality

If I recommend someone some headphones I don't yell irreverent shit that cost 3x as much. And I have a great personality. You are just toxic and get repulsed by anyone who is not a miserable shit like yourself.

Idol trash here. What's your setup like, user?

>And I have a great personality.
LMAO

I've never seen you contribute anything of real worth - impressions, measurements, whatever. It's all just shit like this . You are an annoyance, that's why people are mad at you and staxpost to set you off. Make a measurement rig. Comment on relevant topics. Try to help anons. Don't be an annoyance.

delusional and annoying

get a load of this asshat

Epic. This will be my last reply to you - ever.

The stax gang is all here!

I should sell my LCD2, HD6XX, and DT990 and buy a DT1990.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. It seems normal bias has slightly more of bass roll-off. Couldn't be assed to unmod my L700 pads so you're just going to have to deal with poorly sealed measurements.

Attached: pro_normal_bias.png (3421x1806, 182K)

lol no just buy stax

thanks. looks like higher bias is just more efficient?

Yeah. I think it also has less distortion but I don't put much trust in my distortion measurements.

No, it looks like shit.

This may be a stupid question, but are the Sennheiser HD1 and Momentum 2.0 the same thing?

Yes, that is a stupid.

>checks the thread after a day

Attached: 1523034536995.jpg (600x600, 303K)

You'll have to reason this.

Reason what?

L700. Do not fuck up.

So, 1dB in bass area? That seems almost the same.

Yeah, it's not big. Subjectively, I don't like the Normal Bias output. Makes the L700 sound like regular headphones. Doesn't feel as textured as the Pro Bias. Maybe my distortion measurements are accurate? Who knows. The NB output seems to consistently have more higher order harmonics.

>The NB output seems to consistently have more higher order harmonics.
that would make sense as I'd guess the higher voltage bias probably makes the diaphragm more reactive to changes in voltage on the stators

so then whats the difference?

...

Toneking TO400S

I would if they made earbuds. I'll probably buy some in the future anyway.

Looks great. Thanks.

Friendly reminder to set up dnscrypt-proxy.

DT770 or DT880, depending on if you want open or closed back

Why 250 ohm sounds better(spoiler: the same) as 32 ohm

innerfidelity.com/content/comparison-beyerdynamic-dt-880-32-ohm-dt-880-250-ohm-and-dt-880-600-ohm-headphones-page-2

Here are the measurements. People say that higher ohm sounds better. Determine what you want for yourself.

My bad, I'm slightly wrong.

But the FR measurements are about the same still. Maybe go for the 80 ohm one. 250 ohm is a lot.

I still think it doesn't matte rin the real world.

It's in the margin of error of production and measurement. There is nothing.

MDR-1A or Sennheiser HD1 for hiphop and movie watching

This is a template for a tin t2.
Just get it.
The Sony xb950n1 is basically exactly this. It comes in under $200 and doesn't need an amp at all, it even has bluetooth. THey're full sized and go OVER your ear! Has a mic if you ever play games. And the sound, oh man the sound, I couldn't believe it. People shill stuff like the ath-m50 but I have one of those and this sounded way better.

Attached: 1527717107753.webm (1280x720, 2.7M)

Stupid question.

Just bought them. I'll report back in like 30 days when they get here. Here's hoping my new $75 chinkphones don't sound like shit.

Thanks

Double foams for seal and boost the treble by a couple dB, and they're golden. Lowest distortion I've ever measured on an earbud.

I set up dnscrypt-proxy and now my soundstage seems more accurate.
Absolutely recommended.

The Sennheisers are ass you moron.
