Specs? Why should i buy it over thousands of phones on market? 2lzy2google

>no root
lol

Is it better than the 7 plus?

>no apps

>Nokia 8
3090mah battery

>trashcan.png

literally anything is better than the 7 plus when even the X can't compete with today's flagships

The mass meet generally assumes that the more expensive item is more quality. No matter how good it is, people will still see the cheaper option as inferior.

And there's nothing you can do about it.

Oh, I meant the Nokia 7 plus

Mass market*

And as you see, even a $700 Samsung phone still deals with gboard's bullshit. People with still shell out cash.

Mostly snapdragon 835 and 1440p screen for 300 euros, Nokia 8 is trash otherwise

>4gigs of RAM
>64gb
>LCD,not oled
Oh im laffin

Literally nothing is better than the 7plus

this

how about new nokia 8 sirocco

>How can other phones even compare?
By having unlockable bootloaders and good custom ROM support in the same price range, along with much larger battery capacity (only 3090 mAh on the Nokia 8). I wanted to like this return, but they sabotaged themselves.

I thought the X' chip is so much better?

by not being nokia

literally better in some ways and worse in others

>curved glass sides
crack magnet with no benefits

>Android
>No apps

What did they mean by this?

>needing more than 4 GB of RAM
My phone has 3 and is plenty responsive.

Isnt this same internals with fancy screen?

Simple, they dont.

How much difference does LCD and colors make compared to brightness and superb res?

>ΔE Color 6.7 | 0.8-29.43 O6.4
>ΔE Greyscale 8.3 | 0.64-98 O6.6

The only source for comparison we have is geekbench, the same service that says it has performance that comes near some x86 chips. So they are either lying or Apple "optimization" is terrible.

It is but it constantly overheats and thermal throttles during typical normal operation.

Whats so bad about Nokia?

Microsoft really really REALLY wants to have your data. Soon they will probably give their shitty phones away for free, can't wait to build me a onesie made out of phones so i can finally become a lcd god

> Implying this is a REAL Nokia phone and not a chinese re-branded one

>implying it matters if china or micro niggers are mining your data

whats the use of faster cpu on nokia 8 over 7+? Are you playing videos game on it?
Also 7+ is android one certified while 8 is not, however that's useful
Want some bigger phone (have 5")and considering the 7+

Attached: 1429673496599.jpg (803x688, 108K)

Doesn't every phone company make a phone at this price range?

>Implying it is
Desu the company is finnish, people leading the company are ex nokians/microsofters but...
Owners are unknown, foxconn is speculated but everyone involved denies that

Nokia actually plowed through their funds and are looking for more investors
Oh shit nigger why did my spoilers swap places, what the fuck

...

spoiler tags don't work on Jow Forums retard

Except for those poor macfags

>glued battery
add $80 for every year of usage, reard

>His batteries die within a year
What fucking kind of trashing do you do to them?

Go outside some time, user. Putting the phone in the sunlight where it's warm can rekt the battery within one (1) day.

> Putting the phone in the sunlight where it's warm can rekt the battery within one (1) day.
Well that's true, but why would you put your phone (or any electronics for that matter) on prolonged exposure to direct sunlight? That's like claiming that nearly any phone can die if you drop it from a tall place into concrete.

>How can other phones even compare?
Is it made in Finland?

...

too tired to answer that

Isnt it close to stock android though

What are better phones in the same price range?

By not having a 60% screen to body ratio what the fuck is this 2015?

came here to post this

Smartphone general is dead so i'm going to post here:

> budget
$800

> 3.5mm
no jack no buy

> camera
something that can record 4k. Dual camera pls.

> battery
3400 minimum. The more the better.

> cpu
anything faster than a 625

> storage
64/128gb

no notch if possible

which top tier OEMs actually allow that stuff anyway?

t. faggot on SGS7 because new phones seem harder to break into

Htc u12.

Oh no jack, thought it has it. Then only galaxy s9 that i can think of current flagships.

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 fits the bill and its just a quarter of ur budget.

It is, but that shouldn't be the main selling point. Especially when devices like OnePlus and Google Pixel promote the developer friendly nature of their phones.
Redmi Note 5 Plus/Pro, Lenovo P2, Galaxy J7/Pro.

Thanks. I'm going to see some reviews on the Zenfone.

Why would you trust a chinkphone with non-unlockable bootloader?

The Note 8 and LG V30 both have headphone jacks, and the latter is notable for having just about the best audio quality of any mainstream smartphone ever. I'm not sure how well they fit the other criteria, though, and it's debatable whether you consider them "current flagships" since they're both about due for replacement.

The dim screen on the Note makes me think it wasn't in high performance mode, I wonder how it would've fared if it were.

LG if you're not fucked by US telecoms

pajeet-only

On paper it is. It's utter shit

>latter is notable for having just about the best audio quality
Why do LG niggers keep parroting that shit? DAC is not the only requirement for audio qulaity.

I'm just going off of what I read in reviews while phone shopping a few weeks ago. I ended up getting a Note 8 instead, I love the fucking S Pen.

HMD is literally Nokia reborn.
>headquarter only a stone throw away from Nokia headquarter
>HMD scooped up all the good ex-nokia employees

>lenovo, huawei, samsung, etc.
>supporting chink-made products
>surprised why chink's economy is getting better
>surprised why job offers now require applicants to learn chink's language
>surprised why all technology manuals are written in chink's lingo

sure

Imagine believing in marketing. No, HMD is just a bunch of executives, Foxconn does all of the actual work.

They make all the iPhones too, and probably 80% of all other phones too.

Nonody argued that.

>Objectively worse phones to nokia 8
Eloel

Open a beer bottle with a HMD global phone manufactured phone.

Do you honestly think that these are designed by Finnish engineers or manufactured by anyone related to finland? No?

Its all 100% pure chink

>Do you honestly think that these are designed
I can add that exterior design was made by Europoors before HMD even existed.

>他不明白中文

Do you know by whom exactly?

Here's one: kevindepape.com/nokia
I can't remember another designer but you can look for other models on EUIPO, it has all the data.

What's wrong with IPS? You scared it doesn't offer planned obsolescence like OLED does?

>nokia OS
>thinking it's the same as android os
brainlet detected

>i have smarr eye
>i cannot stop squinting

If LCD is so good then why do all good screens use OLEDs :^)? Though Nokias ISP lacks in color compared to even old shit like Honor 7

What are you even trying to say?
>Objectively worse phones to nokia 8
>Eloel
Can't argue with "Eloel".

idk why whites has stopped making good products..

> Being stuck in 2010

And I thought something more reasonable than "that shit sucks" was going to surface.

>2018
>symbian
Stop getting stuck in time GRANDPA!

Everyone knows why LCDs are bad, shit contrast and poor color gamut. Nokia 8 is no exception, the screen is something you could find from 200$ chinkphone. Just go to notebookcheck and see for yourself

>They sold this for 599 once

>samsung
>chink
if you're aiming at where phones are manufactured, you should put apple in the same bin

yea my mistake

>not Windows Mobile

And AMOLED panels are prone to burn-in, because of the technology itself.
youtu.be/TzlY1ko6TJQ
I am not seeing anything drastic. Whites are brighter on LCDs, reds and greens are darker on AMOLEDs, etc. Just a difference in technology, although this may not be true for other LCD panels.

lolno.

>And AMOLED panels are prone to burn-in
It's rather rare and rarely critical.

S9

b-b-but I read that on macrumors in 2016!1

I think the Nokia 8 uses a Snapdragon 660, which has A73 cores.

it uses the 835 retard

Well, they both use A73 cores, so they're pretty much the same.

Tell me, what do you use a >100 bucks phone for?

It seems like a waste of money for me.

>branding on front
>bevels massively oversized
>buttons on the front

Piece of shit
