Is top right supposed to mean "shit car" in general?

Black bay 58 or speedmaster, /wt/?

Am pretty split on the red BB or the BB58, am not concerned on how it'll look on my wrist since I have large wrists. My only real concern is dressing up and dressing down the red BB for formal events. The BB58 would be easier to work with. Am pretty split between them

Speedmaster of course.

Tudor is a non-brand and their watches are non-watches.

But they’re a real brand with in house movements...
How often will I have to service a speedy? It costs £400...

I really, really, really like this image.

Just service it every 5 or 6 years.

Cuck incarnate.

Honestly m8 if you're worried about service costs you shouldn't be buying a watch in that price range.

Besides, those are two completely different styled watches. What are you going for? Casual? The speedy will be more versatile

I feel like it should be the opposite.

thatsthejoke.jpg

The one I remember starts with f-91w
Goes up in steps to ALS and the holy trinity
Then goes back to a f-91w

>that's the joke.tiff

Is this new OC?
I like it.

>The value of watches is largely because of the charm of the mechanics and the craftmanship that goes into them
The charm of the mechanics, sure. But when you're talking about a daily watch, that charm disappears pretty quickly, and what you're left with is simply a very inaccurate watch.

As for the craftsmanship that goes into movements, prepare to be disillusioned; most movements in watches below $15k are largely produced and even assembled by machines.
The only manual labor that goes into those is some assembly of a number of parts that machines can't really do (this is something anyone can learn to do in a few hours), and then regulation/adjustment in the case of more expensive watches (even this is doable to an extent by hobbyists after minimal training).
This is true even for the lower-end Patek and Jaeger movements.
Pretty much the same level of manual craftsmanship goes into upscale quartzes, see youtube.com/watch?v=sULI3raP6Jw
You only start to get actual craftsmanship (hand finishing of movements like anglage, black polish, etc.) when you buy really expensive mechanicals like A. Lange & Söhne.

Now let's talk about the craftsmanship that goes into the rest of the watch, what we call "external finishing" (i.e. the case, dial, hands, indices, ...)
Without question, some of the very best craftsmanship in this area is found in Grand Seiko. The artistry and attention to detail that goes into a Grand Seiko's external finishing beats the shit out of known entities like Rolex, or even the most expensive Pateks.

For daily wear, something like a quartz Grand Seiko makes the most sense since it's the best of both worlds: the movement craftsmanship is on par with any sub-$15k mechanical watch, and the external finishing is some of the very best in the entire watch industry at any price range, AND it's going to be actually accurate.

What I always wear to sleep.

The f-94w

Attached: IMG_20180531_210248.jpg (4160x3120, 3.55M)

I can't choose between the SARB035 and the Steinhart Ocean 39 blue, I know they're very different but I can only get one and the SARB would be my first non diver.

start with a Speedmaster… the 58's also a must-have.

Attached: 58 2.jpg (1940x1300, 221K)

Steinshart

then get the GMT, that's another must-have desu.

The Sarb035 is Gorgeous. I'd get it in a heartbeat

Fuck off, faggot. He told that to me, don't usurp my posts.

Oh so you were just baiting me you paki cunt.

>tfw Italian

>Seiko Sea Urchin for 230 yurobucks
Why does it have to be like this

Explain me why so many italians are selling and buying digital watches on ebay?

I am Big Boss, and you are too.

I don't know man, I just got into watches.

What is a stars/kosmos themed watch that is good looking and affordable?

Attached: 5ad79663a6722a4fc7d6acd7_1a.jpg (400x400, 20K)

Citizen astrographer? or what ever it was called.

I will never ever buy a digital watch with plastic parts on the case. Only a beater casio can break the rule.
Also that case is not proportional and it is a gamer meme.

Attached: IMG_20180602_142336_404.jpg (2293x2293, 998K)

>tfw on amazon.it it's 180 euros
Wtf, the Orient Ray is even cheaper and the SKX is about the same of the former
I wanted a SNZFxx because exibition casebacks are cool but now a Mako with an aftermarket one is probably even more affordable

I need to get a sub now.

Attached: Screenshot_20180602-233748__01.jpg (1080x327, 121K)

I'd go BB58 as I'm not a huge fan of the 1861 Speedmaster.

have tudor ever considered doing something about the awful hour hand design?

Yeah, they put it in a chrono so you can't read the minute counter between the hours of 2 and 4.

Top fucking kek
At least the Prince Chrono doesn't have that issue

My first watch in almost 20 years. Is it shit?

Attached: B640WB-1BEF.jpg (500x500, 38K)

is that a tisell pilot?

Yeah, first watch I got a few days ago.

Now I understand why everyone's going around wearing watches. It all makes so much sense now.

that's some serious research you must have done before buying your first watch, good job

Well, could have done worse, at least you bought a functional casio.

plusses:
cheap
reliable
enough features

minuses:
plastic case, coated with black pvd
pvd coated stainless steel bracelet
negative display

Walked into a watch shop today and found a F-91W for €20. I think I'm gonna buy it. It looks like shit but in a good way. It's for work anyway to keep track of time without having to pull out my phone.

thinking about getting one of these, is it any good?

Attached: 14153413?wid=488&hei=488&fmt=pjpeg.jpg (488x488, 38K)

Thanks! For about a month the plan was a seiko 5 lmao.

>€20
Wtf that's a rip off.

>negative display
I know it's harder to read but I just had to go full stealth anyway.

Next I'll get a steel analog in the 400€ range.

I will get one myself. But I would rather have Donald Duck.

>I know it's harder to read but I just had to go full stealth anyway.
Kek
You should have picked the model with LED instead of illuminator since it will give away your location if you use it in the dark.

An automatic watch with an alarm!!
How cool is that?! It makes a weird buzzing sound and vibrates. And has a dedicated wonder for the alarm buzz.
What an interesting watch.

Attached: image.jpg (1680x1400, 981K)

How fucking new are you?

jaeger-lecoultre.com/us/en/chronicles/news-events/memovox-emblematic-alarm-watch.html

Daily reminder that if your watch costs more than your computer then you should kill yourself

>tfw 100 buck watch and a 50 buck flea market pc.

SWISS GOT BTFO

youtube.com/watch?v=lgwTnAlX2LU

Reminder that if your computer costs more than a cheap chromebook you are a manchild and should consider suicide.

what's your favorite weekend/beater watch?

beater?
casio
weekend? clubbing etc you mean?
fashion watch shitter

I’ve been coming here for years and never have I seen this watch posted or talked about.

watch threads must die

Swiss btfo by..
ORIENT

fucking ORIENT

top kek
Never even pissing towards a swiss watch again unless it's above 3k of course.

Why? That’s dumb.

> clubbing - fashion watch shitter
About the only time where wear picked a /fa/shion watch is a good idea. Too easy for a good watch to get damaged or stolen in that situation.

Would you date him??

>F-91W

Wew lad

Patrician taste honestly

What strap is that? New ? I Havnt been in the threads lately

MN Strap by Erika's Originals. It's pretty nice, but I'm also going to order one from NDC straps, which makes a different style of parachute webbing strap.

Attached: LRM_EXPORT_20180530_152551.jpg (1533x1533, 895K)

>gayman laptop
fucking kill yourself

also, watches are for fags, daily reminder

Oh shit that's what it is? I just got one on my Sinn. Update on the other if / when you order it.

Attached: image.jpg (750x1334, 710K)

They seem to go for no less than €15 online unless I'm looking in the wrong places.
If getting it cheaper means it's from some rainforest in the middle of Malaysia and shipping will take 2 months on a boat built from plywood I don't want it.

>what is amazon.de

kys

Except it's true.

Do some watch companies really fit dials and hands with machines?

>€10
Hmm alright

Talking about movements here, bub.
Also,

thoughts?

Thinking of copping this Festina. It's on sale for 75 euros atm and I want an inexpensive, nice watch which I can wear and not worry about it too much.

Attached: festina-16991-1-fc92a5fcc78acee023ccc2e4baa39c12.jpg (1080x1080, 92K)

That's a Komandirskie

Thanks for posting a /fa/shion watch, try that board instead.

Would you ever wear your watch in the club?

If so, which one?

Attached: 1397830931189.png (800x792, 573K)

Festina watches aren't a fashion watch brand.

It's a 75euro shitter with no technical merit. It's a fashion brand

did you see minitwatch's new video ?

btw I heard really bad things about the eta c07

Yeah, I just preferred the more minimalist look of the color matched stitching. I'll definitely update when I get the other one.
