Whats better when it comes to gopros?

Whats better than it comes to gopro video? (Hero 3+) 1080p with 60FPS, or 720p with 120FPS?

Discuss.

>Hero 3+
Not that it matters here, but you should specify silver or black as they have different specs, despite both being the Hero 3+

tldr is 1080p 60.

>wegmans
Absolutely god-tier.

Gopro Hero3+ Silver edition.

If it can do 1080p 60, do that

If it can do 4k 60, do that

If shooting 4k60, you can always downsample to true 4:4:4 1080p60 after the fact.

stick with 60 or 24 fps.

Anything else has the potential to not play nice with certain playback devices.

60fps and 24fps are safe bets.

120fps would similarly be fine, but I wouldn't sacrifice resolution in order to get that higher framerate.

Literally nothing supports 24hz. Most monitors and all TV's are 60hz

....almost everything supports 24hz, every movie you've ever seen was shot in 24fps you dumb cunt.

which wegmans is this?

>Gopro Hero3+ Silver edition.
>4k

It doesnt do 4k.

>It doesnt do 4k.
>If it can do 4k
HMMMMMMMM

>which wegmans is this?

The one in collegeville

And they all look like jaggedy garbage because no monitor is 24hz. You're retarded.

1080p 60fps.

120hz is just slow motion mode.

>And they all look like jaggedy garbage
lmao, you're a retard

So every movie you've ever seen is jaggedy garbage?

Jesus, just end your life if watching a movie is pure suffering to you.

Good answer, user.

>120hz is just slow motion mode.

Is it worth it?

If you're going 120fps, chances are you want it for slow motion.

Generally true, but I know some people that play it back at 120fps on their 120hz monitors.

OP here, was mostly gonna do motorcycle YouTube videos. So I guess I should stick with 1080p. Was only asking as battery life on the gopro is rather poor.

well, it's also ~3+ years old at this point, so unless you've bought a new battery pack for it recently, the original battery is probably only holding 50-60% of it's original charge.

Upgrade your gopro, or buy some replacement batteries and carry a spare with you so you can hot swap.

Bought it used off some guy who only used it twice. Was gonna get a replacement battery as a backup, but I'm unsure if i should go with the progo brand one or a off brand. Kinda worried due to battery bloating on some off brands. Any suggestions?

gopro battery vs off brand*

Meh, they're not super expensive, I don't trust chinks 90% of the time since it's usually a ripoff and just labeled for what you want, while the underlying product is shit-tier.

so how many backup batteries would you suggest for a 3thousand mile trip?

Depends, a single battery is only rated for ~2 hours at 1080p60

So how long are you going each day, do the math.

Obviously bring a charger with you and charge when you can.

Well, I'm planning on completing route 66, back and forth. So I will roughly have to ride 8 hours a day. So if one battery is 2 hours...hm...im gonna need a few
