Hey this is the guy with the Kiosk keyboard made of metal, it has MX blacks in them and i saw a page say it was waterproof, turns out it has a protective plastic layer above the keycaps, and tge keycaps can come off and go on other keyboards if i so chose (i don't) pic related
don't know if the chinks are retarded or something but every single listing on taobao for switch lube shows them applying it like this, seems to work I guess? It is a pain in the ass to disassemble all the switches and carefully apply it to the bloody things, I don't understand how the rebbitors can bother to do it.
Hudson Roberts
>seems to work I guess? If by "work" you mean completely drown the switch, ruin the keyfeel, and ensure that it's going to gum up much sooner than it otherwise would, sure.
Joseph Cox
Would be nice to see how blues or clears work in them
Why do you feel the need to have a large keyboard full of buttons you never use? Is it overcompensation?
Ayden Clark
not him
i like fullsized because i can bind macros to the numpad keys
Luke Cooper
And you couldn't have macros on a smaller keyboard?
Sebastian Morgan
its more convenient on a bigger keyboard
Christian Perez
You're not really making a case for why I shouldn't keep using my 65%.
Kevin Reyes
Someone redpill me on topre like op pic
Jaxon Morales
>Budget 80€ >Location (continent at least) EU >Preferred switch type red >Layout ANSI >Form factor tenkeyless or full >Backlight d/c >Previous/current keyboards laptop silicon shite, hate it
Jayden Diaz
How the fuck do you open a Kailh switch?
Robert Richardson
because im not trying to convince of anything
im just stating my personal preference retard
Jonathan Powell
from below
Josiah Sanders
The original post was saying anything under a 90% keyboard shouldn't exist, why the fuck did you respond if you didn't want to argue that point?
Bentley Hernandez
i responded because someone wanted to know about the appeal of large keyboards
i said "i like fullsized because..." clearly im stating my personal preference
learn to read retard.
Joshua Cook
Are you braindead
He's answering the question "Why do you feel the need to have a large keyboard full of buttons you never use?", which is separate from the initial assertion that nobody should ever want a small keyboard
Angel Johnson
Why are you defending someone that is answering a rhetorical question?
Kayden Young
Why are you asking questions if you didn't want an answer in the first place?
Kevin Sanchez
Are box royals worth it? I remember seeing them get a lot of hype on here a while ago, but I don't see anyone talking about them on here now.
Anthony Stewart
Yes and no. They're not the end-all be all tactile switch that people wanted them to be, but like any niche there's some that will absolutely love them. There's also a new meme snowflake switch similar to holy pandas with them and hako clears, so they have that going for them, I suppose.
Brandon Smith
A standard reaction from typing on a keyboard containing less than 100 keys.
>no way I'm gonna pay a lot of money to get a prebuilt board with some extremely niche, obscure aftermarket switch in it! Learn to solder or pay up, retard.
No.
Gavin Adams
>Switches made of the same material as any other fucking switch >Nothing particularly special about them over a normal Kali switch >Prebuilt with them costs twice as much as board with slightly different switches
WEW
James Young
>what is economy of scale
Sebastian Ramirez
>what is supply and demand
Asher Nguyen
I don't think you understand how scale, supply, and demand work.
Jaxson Harris
sup qts I need a USB (input) to ps/2 converter/translator because I unironically got a unicomp USB instead of a ps/2. Pls respond
Jordan Thomas
Then get one off Amazon
John Lopez
>How do basic economics work
Gavin Miller
t. under-aged commie
Ayden Davis
There are no active USB-ps2 on amazon.
Kayden Jackson
because you don't need one
Tyler Myers
Splash proof but definitely not water proof
Samuel Russell
I needs it bruh
Jack Torres
for ps2 to usb it does, but for usb to ps2 it doesn't
Jack James
and I need USB to PS2 active
James Rogers
There's 0 demand for obscure switches like royals, most people want things like blues, reds, browns, etc. Why mark up something that isn't going to sell much in the first place?
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I ordered that a few weeks ago. Doesn't werk. Spoke with Unicomp rep and he told me that their USB keyboards will not work with passive adapters
Justin Barnes
so unicomp make their model ms so they can detect whether they're plugged into a ps2 or usb port and switch protocols appropriately?
roamer G keyboards 0.2ms (now has red switch) Bloody LK keyboards 0.2ms (6 different switch types) WOoting keyboard probably 0.2ms Zowie new keyboard probably 0.2ms
time to upgrade your keyboards kids rip off thous caps from that laggy old trash
Jaxson Roberts
stop being a virgin and send them an email
Matthew Wright
I actually tried calling them a few seconds ago. Both US numbers were busy
Jacob Roberts
How is Romer-G, a faulty contact switch with excessive chattering, possibly as fast as an optical switch?
Blake Bennett
That's not much of an answer
Aaron Turner
sometimes I wonder why leftist politics are still popular, but then I am reminded when stupidity like this rears its head
Kevin Martin
That's not leftist, it's logical supply and demand. If 2 people want box royals and 200 want mx reds, I can make the reds more expensive and the royals less. That way, a lot of people still buy reds due to demand and more become interested in royals due to the price decrease.
"WOoting" are supposedly pretty good and one of the smoothest switches in existence. Not worth the price though
Oliver Martin
There is noticeable input lag when I press certain combinations of keys AND mouse clicks. I also need a ps/2 keyboard to see if my board is fukt because I can't get into BIOS. I have one (1) more thing to try that would not need a ps/2 kb but I'm preparing for that eventuality
Isaac Gonzalez
Please take an economics course. Stay in school, kids.
Landon Thompson
>still being this retarded there's a fucking million options for mx red keyboards there's a fucking million used mx reds out there go back to school
Hunter Reed
>noticeable input lag that's just the membrane shitting itself , switching to PS/2 wont fix that >can't get into BIOS now that's weird, you most differently should be able too, do you have fast boot enabled? cause that skips the BIOS on start-up
Ryder Scott
demand AND supply idiot
Chase Jones
Kid, I don't really feel like writing an essay on economies of scale.
Zachary Sullivan
>there are kids that don't understand basic supply and demand >these kids will be running the world
Jayden Watson
>retard doesn't understand economics and has to use reaction images with every single post like pottery
Jackson Gomez
>that's just the membrane shitting itself /mkg/ memed me into getting a unicomp ultra classic >do you have fast boot enabled? Disabled. I used to be able to get into it. Just found out that I have to press delete for 20 seconds if all else fails. Will know later. And it looks like there are no active usb-ps/2 converters aside from what that other user linked
Cameron Cooper
Unicomp has terrible build quality when compared to the original IBM model Ms
Levi Williams
you could always try a KVM switch
Jonathan Gray
What's the name of that split keyboard where the two halves can be pushed together to look/work like a normal keyboard?
Camden Gomez
I'm torn between just getting that to eliminate lag and just getting a new kb because of
Carter King
There are multiple ones like the mistel barocco, vea, or that old acer alps board
Ian Sanchez
small 2-port KVM switches are like 20 bucks, where as a genuine model M is like 70-80
>underglow and backlighting this is /mkg/ or r/mkg, maybe ask there
Charles Rogers
You can get a cheapo gaymer mechanical with outemu switches for like $25
Julian White
>tfw when all this hassle could have been avoided if I picked the ps/2 variant >it won't matter /mkg/ said >get the USB version /mkg/ said Would I be introducing more latency with >kb/m-->switch--->USB port ? If not I needed extra ports that are easily accessible anyway so this solution fixes three of my problems
