lmao retard

Do you guys like to read patch notes?

for a handful of projects at most.

sudo pacman -Syyu; trizen -Syyua

Daily reminder to only update software if it's actually been improved rather than blindly accepting whatever shit devs decide to push.

Daily reminder to compile your programs from source rather than blindly accepting whatever repo host decide to push.

"Heh, that's not the package manager *I* use, kid"

Why use apt-get instead of apt?

Because he's still in 2013

'sudo' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Huhuhu...

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && sudo apt-get autoremove && sudo apt-get autoclean

>sudo apt install cutegirlfriend
>no package found

I use ubuntu, but.. let's not forget what debian maintainers have done in the past:

debian.org/security/2008/dsa-1571

gentoo ~ # apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
-su: apt-get: command not found

IT'S NOT WORKING WHAT DO I DO

Was just pretending :)

>not just typing yay

reminder to sudo pacman -Sc

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

What's the sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade equivalent for Gentoo?

compile from code every app

>app
fucking numales

>that 39 year old boomer who doesn't realize its short for application

emerge --ask LIFE

But I'm ready to release my cummies

>He doesnt xbps-install -Su

gentoo ~ # emerge --ask LIFE

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "LIFE".

emerge: searching for similar names...
emerge: Maybe you meant any of these: dev-lang/lfe, x11-plugins/wmlife, media-plugins/live?

:(

>sudo: apt-get: command not found

no never auto-update anything other than security updates because nothing spells fun like suddenly things breaking.

I update when I am prepared to fix things, just in case. And if it's a "critical" system, that would involve a ton of testing post update, so sometimes it just isn't worth it. That's along the same lines of why I keep my Pixel 2 stock. Because my phone is a life-critical system and any fucking about introduces potential for failure which would cause me serious problems very quickly. So basically all you customizing obsessed faggots must not have anything important going on.

I thought I was the only one lol

>unattended-upgrades
>A-OK
>windows 10 automatic updates
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

well debian stable has auto updates enabled, better disable it for 'stability', lol

Though not strictly patch notes, I love reading Dolphin’s monthly progress reports. It's interesting reading about all the little quirks in the GC/Wii hardware that Dolphin has to accurately emulate.

See figure 1

apt update && apt dist-upgrade

Thanks, now my grub killed itself again and the DE broke for the sixth time this month

>Updating things

You can easily disable or when uninstall unattended-upgrades
Try that on Win10
