What smartphone would Maki use?

>Tfw banned from ebay
w2c £350 mint condition s8

Any downsides to a Xiaomi mi mix 2?

it's chinese and has a chin bigger than your mum

no headphone jack, no microsd card slot, it's chink, camera not as good as 2s

How do I know if my phone supports display out?

Xperia XZ1 Compact

>tfw no 5ghz wifi on the redmi 5
;_; being poor sucks

Just ordered redmi note 5 from fasttech. Is there anything I should know?
(from fasttech because of crypto payment)
Actually first android phone after using win10mobile for 2years. Kek

Maybe I'll get an LG G6/V30 then. What I don't get is why the g6 is said to have worse battery life than the v30.

Here's to hoping I don't get bootlooped

Is there ANY reason to get the iphone X? I can't find one.

I just had a friend texting me a green bubble

Yikes

>Here's to hoping I don't get bootlooped
Don't hope, just get another device. It is quite a gamble and buying an LG device at this point is just that.

>friend
leave

thanks for confirming that only literal retards have it

will it be the next lenovo?

I don't fucking trust chink renderings anymore

>best premium build and materials
>best performance in any smartphone ever
>best display in any smartphone ever
>best pictures from any smartphone ever
>most user friendly and intuitive operating system
>most secure and privacy respecting operating system
>gets updates for at least six years while poodroids are lucky to get three
>price means poor people can't afford it

>The Oppo Find X will feature Oppo's Super VOOC charging, which can top up a 2,500mAh battery in just 15 minutes.
it's going to have notch and a huge chin anyway

supposing the galaxy note 9 will be just an incremental release from the 8, is it a good idea to buy one? battery life seems to be awesome.
can anyone vouch for the pen? is it useful for anything?

chink renderings have been shit for years
xiaomi have done it, huawei have done it
you're a complete and utter fucking retard if you ever believed those renderings, especially from a company who has been notorious for fucking up phones

LG is fine now, in my opinion. I've had my G6 a year and nothing has gone wrong, and my girlfriend has had her G5 since launch and it's also been fine in terms of reliability (though it's disappointing in other respects). I think LG just ran into a really rough patch with the G4 and 5X because of the "experimental" (read: saved $0.04 per phone) soldering work.

What's the most unusual phone you've ever owned, /spg/? This can be in terms of OS, form factor, whatever. Just something that sets it apart.

For me, it was the Motorola Flipout.

>dat square body
>dat swivel to reveal the keyboard
>dat amazing portability
>dat excellent audio quality
>FM Radio too

Too bad it was slow, had a terrible display, and an unacceptably bad camera

Attached: Motorola_flipout.jpg (810x637, 201K)

Nokia Ngage. really fun phone to mess around with, even back then. Not a great phone for calling though.

>he buys flagships, not redmis

lmaooooooo

How to browse Jow Forums on iPhone? And how to save porn stash of webms gifs and images in hidden folder?

ordered mine today too

Looks like a winner

Look in spec sheet or search your model hdmi out. If it's a older phone look if it support mhl
Peak smartphone design

Put the iPhone down
Buy a computer

I wouldn't pay for their incompetence. Read this if you haven't:

I'm fairly certain it had some issues with the speaker for calls. Just look on xda, those pajeets are thorough as fuck.

youtu.be/BwbRpkUhVFE
Xiaomi Mi8

I have a desktop, I need a way to shitpost from phone when at work

What's a computer?

You can sideload thechan using cystic impactor every 7 days or or if you are in a jailbreakable iOS you can install it and keep it permanently using extender

Why does it have a notch and a huge chin? If they are trying to be like iphone so bad then they could at least dump the chin.

Attached: LiveMessage_2018-06-11-22-38-05.gif (600x600, 199K)

I have one, and I honestly love it. I may have waited too long to upgrade to it though, so my comparisons are with a phone that is two years older.

It is snappy and super cheap for what you are getting. The camera isn't crazy and the ROM it comes with could be better (even if it is cozier than default Android).

I am partially deaf, which makes the speaker a bit weaker than I would've liked when making calls.

That said, I think it is a great phone. I would recommend it against almost anything I saw in its price point.

Hello, I have a question.
Why is Mediatek bad?

Attached: l_10162574_004.jpg (600x532, 16K)

>when your handwriting is so shit you start writing in cursive russian
not doing the note 8 any favours user
пиздop

That's okay, it's not a Note 8.

Attached: Screenshot_20180611-231815_Settings.jpg (1536x2048, 489K)

Worse battery efficiency than similar performing snapdragon/exynos chips. Little to no support and custom roms. Shit performance in most mediatek phones that come to west even if their higher end mediatek helio processors is comparable to midrange snapdragon chips.

>glass on the back instead of ceramic like it's fucking 2015
>debatable
>it's a samsung oled, like on every samsung phone ever
>pixel 2
>ios sacrifices actual utility and features for "friendliness"
>proprietary, non-open source
>root, install a custom rom, problem solved
>libertarians gtfo REEEEE

>>price means poor people can't afford it
Is that why Jamal from the ghetto has one on a contract?

The serious answer is you clone a github iOS chan project and deploy it as a developer app.

Anyone had any experience with the HTC U12+? I was looking forward to it but the reviews have been destroying it's buttons and edge sense.

Next has rounded edges than apex

It looked beautiful previously

The LG G6 and the Samsung S8 active both say that they're shock resistant. But they aren't blocky and huge like other rugged phones like the Cat ones. How do I know how durable they are? Are there other impact resistant phones that aren't xbox huge?

Moto G6 vs Nokia 6.1 vs Xiaomi Mi A1? Looking for a phone in the $200-$300 range that will work in the US for AT&T.

i just bought the xiaomi redmi note 4
great phone, lineageos 15.1 support, 4400mha battery lasts 2 days, 64gb storage, 4gb ram, 200$

>How do I know how durable they are?
Watch a video of someone dropping them on a concrete floor.
>Are there other impact resistant phones that aren't xbox huge?
Define "impact resistant"

I have no idea how it actually is supposed to work or what standards mean, but all I need it to do is not shatter and have it still work if it falls out of my hands

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact?

Where did you get it? A local store or a chinky one?
Do you see any dead pixels on the display?

local store, everything working flawlessly

Question for the people running Android P. How much of a step up is it compared to Oreo in terms of usability/quality of life? I'm not that concerned about performance or battery life but if it's worse please share.

If you don't have microSD support you are using a glorified iPhone

Moto G6 or Google Pixel

HELP HAVE AN HOUR TO CHOOSE

Attached: 1516783792673s.jpg (99x124, 2K)

pixlel

Moto, because microsd cards are nice

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

sorry

We're not an all-unified hive mind yet, you'll have to judge this one yourself

It's ok

You are correct sir. Now should I get the Pixel XL refurbished or pay $100 more for new?

Moto G6+
HELLO MOTO!

get a refurbished one and put that $100 towards your new phone fund

memeomi note 5 pro or lenovo z5?
for get the job done

Too add more detail, my previous phone, a samsung s5 died on me one day. I laughed at my friends for having fragile phones that would completely shatter on impact, but now that my phone is broken it is time to modernize. I have no problem putting a screen protector, but it almost seems pointless to get a thin, beautiful phone and have to wrap it in a thick case afterwards. I also don't want the phone to be thick because it shouldn't stick out of my pockets. Are the Samsung active phones and the LG G6 which are purported to be impact resistant my only options?

Whats a good upgrade from my Moto X Pure? something a bit smaller and maybe a nicer screen

Please convince me not to pick up a new or newish note 8 from eBay for 6 hundo

Attached: 1527849728054.webm (711x400, 965K)

did sony fuck his wife or something?

Probably teaching his neet son a lesson

Do you guys talk about rooting phones? Or just shilling?

Redmi 5 Plus or Redmi Note 5? My Note 4 screen took a trip to Shatterville

Attached: 1521787236438.jpg (1280x720, 115K)

Redpill me on Vivo Nex.

>waiting for that pixel 3 and pixel buds 2

fuck that XL but

Attached: 3XL-S9P-2-1024x684.jpg (1024x684, 94K)

good god, is it really going to have a notch?

XL has a notch based on leaksand its fucking huge but the normal version has no notch and slimmer bezels now not like the pixel2

Will the Mi Mix 2s get LTE on AT&T?

Anyone here own an Essential Phone?
How are the blacks on the screen/overall look of the colors since it's an LCD panel? Does the battery get you through the day on normal use? Is the camera decent after all the updates it's gotten? I'm considering buying it.

I wanna get a V20 so I can replace the battery when it shits the bed. Is it worth it? Am I retarded?

Get a OP6 instead, better bang for your buck.
Use this code to get $20 off accessories.
oneplus.com/invite#2NWMNSFTUPZ99D

Someone give me the rundown on Blu phones?

>notch
>still has a chin

why

isn’t the point of the notch to eliminate bezels

I got a refurb LGV20 on ebay but my it says invalid sim, I tested the IMEI number with the carrier and it should work fine so what can I try to solve this problem before returning the phone.

Sounds like you must unlock it

the seller said it was gsm unlocked but I'll try

I have never owned a smartphone before
do I just choose between android and iphone

Basically yeah

Android lets you have full control of everything, that would also let some bad apps misbehave and eat up battery or do more than what they should but it also enables apps to do many more things.
Some say that latest versions of Android are getting less permissive with things and that might be a bad or a good thing depending who you ask.

iPhone is a walled garden, App Store has controls and pretty much everything should be as Apple thinks it's right. It doesn't lets you customize anything other than wallpapers and icon locations in the grid but it gets out of your way and it's "easier" to use. At least that seems to me.

t. I own and like both Android and iPhone

Xperia x10 mini pro.
It was so small but the keyboard was dope.

I've used a Meizu mx5 and Meizu pro 7 plus, I'm really happy with Meizu so far. Is there any news of an incredible Xiaomi phone or other brand that'll be "flagship" grade and have the 3.5mm port or should I stick to Meizu?

I'm looking for a phone, price range 200~250€, my priorities are good audio quality (heavy headphone user) and decent battery life.

Forgot to add, currently on a ticking bootbomb Nexus 5x, soon to be 2 years since purchase

The first 2-3 months makes you feel like you've happened upon the best kept secret in smartphones... and then they tank the fuck out every fucking time.

wanted to ask exactly the same
bump

G6

microSD, headphone jack

only $200some and "good enough" in every category
