>Intel Admits It's Losing to AMD >Intel thinks this is a game Now I understand it, the difference between those two.
AMD does not care about winning or losing, only on working on proper products, free and open standards, delivering a good experience, etc. Intel on the other hand, tries to cut corners as much as they can, threats it's consumers like idiots, cheats and just tries to capitalize as much as possible.
I don't jave one. Your thread doesn't matter, you know why? Because when intel polish it's 10nm process and release new 10nm desktop CPU it will blow anything AMD has away.
Intel has finest engineers in the world.

Don't be a retard. Everyone is going for profit.

Did anyone say otherwise? I'm pretty sure that was the point, that one's goal is just profiting while the other just makes products and focuses on that
Isaac Johnson
NO! Intel is just evil! It's like E corp from my favourite hacking videos!
IMO there is no reason to buy Intel anymore anyways, this isn't 2010 anymore
Lincoln Rodriguez
>NO! >Intel is just evil! I know this is satire, but of course big corporations are "evil" in the real world too. The boards don't care about anything, you think people on the board care what a CPU is or if it fails shortly after warranty after you have already bought it?
Dylan Wood
>AMD does not care about winning or losing, only on working on proper products, free and open standards, delivering a good experience, etc. I know this is weak bait, but for the clueless: Neither Intel or AMD give a FUCK about what's good for you (the consumer), they only care about profit and market dominance. If AMD is sweet with the open source community it's because it benefits the brand and helps building a positive view of the company. If AMD delivers good products at a low price is because Intel stopped being competitive a good while ago; Intel slept on their success, AMD saw the opportunity, had a well-designed product that could be massively produced for cheap, and they took it. If they somehow beat Intel and become the major seller then they will do anything to keep that position while trying to spend as little effort and resources as possible to continue being competitive, just what Intel did after Sandy Bridge.
>Intel on the other hand, tries to cut corners as much as they can, threats it's consumers like idiots, cheats and just tries to capitalize as much as possible. This is 100% true. But that can be said of any major company holding the lead in whatever market they're into.

To me. This sounds like AMD doesn't want money.

>Intel has finest engineers in the world. Yea that's why they are furiously shitposting on twitter defending their housefires
But I don't ise AMD I use exclusively intel. This demo was what intel is planning to release. Intel did promised to make this 5GHz beast reality. And if intel said so, they will. Probably on 10nm process.
Leo Green
and yet despite this, intel is the only one delivering superior products
i guess the only way to win is to be evil
Carter Robinson
>This demo was what intel is planning to release. bullshit >Intel did promised to make this 5GHz beast reality. no they didnt >Probably on 10nm process. never happening
intel CPUs are the only ones supported in the HPC industry. like literally all the shit done in number-crushing uses intel CPUs cuz the compilers all generate better high-performance code on it than shit AMD cpus
Intel makes most sophisticated chips on planet earth. For example: there are no match to 8700k CPU AMD can't compete even on 12nm process vs much superior Intel's 14nm.
When intel shapes to perfection it's 10nm process, you fucking AMD shills will be shitting your pants and envy everyone who was more intelligent than you to buy intel CPUs.
cannon lake is already out and its slower than kaby lake, 10nm and intel are failures
Hunter Brooks
AMD must beat 8700k first. Probably evwn their 7nm won't be able to. I doubt that they actually have 7nm process. At this scale some quantum shit happens no one knows about... Probably AMD's 7nm CPUs will be slow as fuck because of this quantum shit!
Intel, takes its time to perfect 10nm process. They don't want to release half finished product.
Unlike AMD which crashed at compiling... Pathetic...
Nothing this ridiculous ever happened to company like intel. Because they don't fuck around and gives us only most quality products.
>AMD does not care about winning or losing, only on working on proper products, free and open standards, delivering a good experience, etc. I need a good laugh AMD can't even keep its shader compilers compliant with implicit OpenGL standards, let the fuck alone making a working open standard.
Angel Green
At least they don't intentionally disable security features to get benchmark advantages.
James Cruz
>yeah cause it's not like business is a strategy or anything
>AMD does not care about winning or losing, only on working on proper products, free and open standards, delivering a good experience, etc. Ahahahahaha. Tell that too poor Linux users not having drivers for gcn 2 cards because AMD made the architecture obscure and undocumented. Closed source drivers were abandoned a month after the GPUs were released while open source ones perform 7 times worse than proprietary windows drivers. AMD has only recently got more relevant and only on the CPU market.
Easton Wood
Where did you even see definitions of it? I guess you didn't even seen the quotes around "evil" that was implying the direct opposite of it being a definition. Come back when you're 18. Keep this (You) until you do.

There is a TED talk on this, its call the finite game vs the infinite game. Intel is playing the finite game AMD is playing the infinite game
How come the general public has no idea about the dirty tricks Intel uses? This could be a huge news story (and profit margin) to any news outlet who would take this on properly.

But once Intel finishes their 10nm, AMD will be at least in its refined 7nm+ version of Zen. How is Intel going to deliver more performance with a shittier lithography?
And by the way, by the time their broken 10nm process achieves maturity, we may already be at the 5nm level on AMDs side of things (barring any backstabbing)
