That's literally the only reason why this client got popular. qBittorrent is full of fucking bugs. Everybody has dealt with one or more of these issues and puts up with it because "hurr durr no botnet hurr"
>IO errors for big torrents >won't fully shut down and cause Windows to pause shutdown because it's still running >restart client and your torrents download again for no fucking reason >stalling for no reason, even with multiple seeds and peers. It just sits there claiming it's stalled even though it reports like 10 seeds. >menu elements don't fucking sort >press "force re-announce to tracker" and it doesn't fucking re-announce >icons continue to be ugly and faded out, especially within the torrent lists >sometimes crashes when adding torrents
I hate this client. It's the most unstable torrent client I have ever used and I have used uTorrent, Tixati, Deluge, and Halite. I am waiting for the official Transmission for Windows to stop being a preview beta and I am going to use that instead. Fuck qBittorrent. Fix your fucking client.
I have had literally no problems here using lubuntu. Maybe the windows version sucks but you're using windows so you can only blame yourself
Adam Hall
Link me to any bug reports you've made.
If not, sage. This isn't your personal blog to rant about software you don't like. Nobody gives a a fucking shit if you're gonna complain about software that works for everyone else except you.
Lucas Baker
I know OP is retarded bait, but qBittorent just works for me on Windows 10. I don't know how people fuck it up.
Jace Cox
>IO errors for big torrents no errors in the last few tbs i downloaded >won't fully shut down and cause Windows to pause shutdown because it's still running Its shutdowns normally if you are not a fag >restart client and your torrents download again for no fucking reason It restarts them only if you deleted them or messed with them in any way >stalling for no reason It stalls when there are no seeders or you have no free space on disk >press "force re-announce to tracker" and it doesn't fucking re-announce this happens if there are no seeders >icons continue to be ugly and faded out, especially within the torrent lists its open source you can contribute and make them better >sometimes crashes when adding torrents yes if you have a pc from 1999
Conclusion: you are a fag
Nathaniel Collins
utorrent 2.2.1
everything else is cheap knockoffs.
Brandon Morgan
>you can contribute and make them better Not him but are you fucking retarded? Only nolifers and college kids contribute to FOSS.
Jayden Johnson
>IO errors for big torrents i remember there was some ~900GB torrent of a whole porn network and it downloaded for me just fine
Robert Taylor
Literally haven't encountered any issues on neither my Windows machine nor any of my various Linux machines.
You should probably just tie a noose around your necko faggot.
Ryder Gonzalez
>IO errors for big torrents I used qbittorrent (using rtorrent now cuz muh minimalism) for 4 years and had 2 critical torrents where everything was beyond recovery and both times was because hdds with download paths not being mounted. downloaded multiple 50g+ siterips from porn sites and never had any problems though.
>won't fully shut down and cause Windows to pause shutdown because it's still running I believe it runs a deamon after you close the client, so it can finish up the last few packages it's leeching/seeding and save torrent state before quitting completely
>stalling for no reason, even with multiple seeds and peers. It just sits there claiming it's stalled even though it reports like 10 seeds. read about how torrenting works, even if it shows you someone is in the seed list with 100% of the file ready to seed he might be limited on peers and seeding to someone else. mind you, you might not see everyone he's seeding to, he could be on more trackers than you. I've never had problems with stalling for long amounts of time, just wait and it will pick up?
>menu elements don't fucking sort >press "force re-announce to tracker" and it doesn't fucking re-announce >icons continue to be ugly and faded out, especially within the torrent lists don't know what you mean by these
>sometimes crashes when adding torrents don't think this has ever happened to me, neither on windows 8/10 or debian
Jordan Kelly
I constantly get the issue with stalling for no reason despite there being seeds. I still have a non botnet version of utorent installed. I'll move that torrent to utorrent and it doesn't stall. Every time it's brought up in these threads the response is always >Lol, that doesn't happen, your disk is full or there are no seeds
Brandon Reyes
False. If i need something minor i'll fucking write it and not cry about it on various forums and imageboards.
Samuel Martin
Debian version has a massive memory leak. It's well documented. Search GoCuckGo.
I've added quite a lot of torrents and now none of them seed..
Owen Richardson
>>IO errors for big torrents Never happened to me and I download COMPLETE 4K Blu-ray discs regularly. Some are near 100 GB for a single movie. >>won't fully shut down and cause Windows to pause shutdown because it's still running >Windows >>restart client and your torrents download again for no fucking reason You must've moved the file while qBittorrent wasn't running then. Literally never happened to me. >>stalling for no reason, even with multiple seeds and peers. It just sits there claiming it's stalled even though it reports like 10 seeds. Stalling happens with every client, it just doesn't say stalled but instead just 0 B/s. What's the difference? Get better trackers and you'll never have to experience it regardless of client. >>menu elements don't fucking sort Not sure what you mean by this but torrents themselves have plenty of sorting options and I'm quite happy with them. >>press "force re-announce to tracker" and it doesn't fucking re-announce Never experienced this. It may or may not take some time depending on how many and how stable your tracker is however. >>icons continue to be ugly and faded out, especially within the torrent lists >caring about icons in a fucking program that just sits in the background downloading your shit >>sometimes crashes when adding torrents Again >Windows
John Ross
Only one error for me. I usually download torrents partially and qbittorrent stills creates all the folders I didn't check to download.
Ayden Myers
>>IO errors for big torrents False >>won't fully shut down and cause Windows to pause shutdown because it's still running Toggle it to close when you close the window >>restart client and your torrents download again for no fucking reason False >>stalling for no reason, even with multiple seeds and peers. It just sits there claiming it's stalled even though it reports like 10 seeds. False, you have shit WiFi >>menu elements don't fucking sort t. OCD retard >>press "force re-announce to tracker" and it doesn't fucking re-announce False. >>icons continue to be ugly and faded out, especially within the torrent lists Who cares? >>sometimes crashes when adding torrents False
Gavin Kelly
Ditto but #define False True
Julian Lopez
>If i need something minor i'll fucking write it literally nobody does this except kids
Jordan Hughes
>I usually download torrents partially and qbittorrent stills creates all the folders I didn't check to download.
that's how torrents work. some pieces are shared between files and folders
Wyatt Perry
Had 0 issues with qbit, everything works perfect sorry bud
Haven't seen much people endorsing it. Most favourite in here seems to be Halite or Transmission. Also go to the github page instead of complaining here retard.
Jonathan King
Windows literally doesn't have a single good torrent client. Linux and OSX got Transmission, which is the best client out there but the Windows QT port is pretty shitty.
Caleb Nelson
This. Windows is the problem, not qBT. OP is clearly a Judaic trying to get people to stop using Freedom-respecting software.
It's buggy in some respects but the torrenting part works fine.
Easton Peterson
works fine on windows 7 for me.
Thomas Martinez
>a Judaic trying to get people to stop using Freedom-respecting software. you literally worship a Jew that created the concept of freedom-respecting software
Camden Thompson
this is a long standing bug that hasn't even been adressed by the developers.
I and plenty of other people had is since version 4. It's why I stopped using this shit.
I dare you to find any quote where Stallman espouses Judaic Zionist views. Protip: you can't.
Carson Campbell
blood is blood and you know it. now work for free, the stallman way. goy.
Adrian Long
>windows
Ayden Adams
>make cross-platform software >bugs on other platforms don't count
keep walking freetard.
Gabriel Turner
No one cares about obscure windows issues. Use a real OS.
Juan Brown
Libtransmission is pretty solid.
Jayden Morris
>Use Linux >Only like 1% of targeted audience of qbittorrent uses it >call windows obscure despite being used in combo with qbit by 1000x more people than linux and qbit >??? >pretend it's REAL OS
must be nice being retarded.
Aiden Martinez
Linux is shit and has no gaems
Dylan Edwards
indeed
Robert Miller
I can verify that the tracker reannounce just doesn't work at all. If the network isn't up when qBT comes up, it will never attempt reannounce. qBT ignores UI input to force reannounce. You have to close and reopen the client to reannounce.
Let's not forget that the UI locks up for several seconds every time you even so much as glance at the Options. Hell, I just tried to open qBT from the tray icon and it crashed Windows Explorer twice and still didn't open--just crashed out silently.
