Got a pocket watch? Post it. Otherwise business as usual.
This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.
>Scrolling back a few years in my 30k photo archive >Dad had pic related and other watches hiden in the safe >tfw he fooled me over the years about him having other watches, but the citizen he is wearing everyday He was also given a rolex meme-just back in 90's which he "forgot" about when I asked him. No wonder he didn't give a shit about my rare jdm watches.
That cardboard box combined with that beautiful Seiko timepiece make it seem like you have a display box on your wrist, very bold. The Heineken usb powerbank is a nice touch as well. My main attention goes to that stunning Tag Heuer timepiece combined with gift wrappings and usb cord. Overall, very outstanding wrist game my man. Sprezzatura!
What's the point in having a case for your watch if you don't wear it? It's also important to keep your nice watches safe, if I see a couple of odd looking characters coming towards me I can close this puppy up and keep my pride and joy on lockdown.
Thank you very much, I knew you as a true gentleman would recognize true wrist game when you see it. The Tag was a gift too
maybe I should pretend I did that detail on purpose
Very nice!

Good god, you have wrist game my friend.
Liam Miller
my god this impressive
there is no arab or rolex owner who can defeat this setup
absolutely incredible 20/10, the extra watch and heineken just seal the deal
Nathaniel Martinez
it looks like we're going bolder here, and an addition of another timepiece again destroys all rolex beadies and arabs. it's becoming crystal clear that /wt/ is THEE watch forum for all serious watch aficionados.
Joseph Jones
these shit posts are simply shit. you need to up your game kids or simply stop posting.
and in another first, we're now able to finally secure the entire watch box and display to our wrists thanks to the ingenuity of /wt/. incredible, where else on earth would one find such intellectual prowess in one forum? Nowhere.
FakeTudor sure got nice wrist game when he choose to. What is that watch ontop of the pc?
Christian Davis

> I'm trolling a watch thread, what an accomplishment. My life on earth is fulfilled.
Daniel Harris
Why are there always these "no fun allowed" faggots here? Take your head from your arse.
Daniel Jones
What's your problem? They're not trolling, they are just memeing and having fun. It's called thread culture. They're not trying to elicit any negative feelings from anyone.
This so much.
Colton Bailey
Wtf delet this.
Michael Hill
Why?

Why would anyone want to buy watches in precious metals? It doesn't withstand even a tiny little knock to it, and then it's ruined.
changed to a grey perlon on my cocktail time and put the bracelet back on my turtle. added a gshock with a suunto clip on compass for hiking. box is filled and trying to decide on what's next. amassed this collection in the span of just over a year and think i did it too fast.
I’d recommend only buying one watch every year, or maybe one every six months at the most. That way you’ll do loads of research and have time to save up money to get what you really want. For me it makes the process more enjoyable. Nowadays I actually buy a watch every couple years. If you don’t then you’ll just amass a giant collection of shitters. Nothing wrong with that if it’s what you want but personally I prefer to have fewer watches of a higher quality.
John Green
Even the Haute Horologie connoisseurs are upping their wrist game. Don't fall behind guys!
Why do Archie hate on Zenith? He says it's a dogshit brand. But he didn't express why
Cameron Hall
as far as inexpensive models go, i think i got what i wanted and now it's on to more expensive models. thinking sinn 104, fois speedmaster, and maybe a peacock gmt grand seiko or similar.

>caring about what that bloated white aussie shitshow thinks
Elijah Bennett
Some family pieces > 1920s Hamilton > 1880s Columbus > Undated Illinois
I don't, I just want to know what he bases his hate on, because I assume there is some kind of..something.. with that brand that he thinks he has to hate, because he is a guy who just takes mainstream opinions and state them on his channel, or so I thought.
Cooper Barnes
I'm looking for a watch with a face like this. any suggestions?
>taking watch opinions seriously from a dumbfuck who bought and defended an ETA IWC shitter and a fucking TAG HUEHUE of all fucking things Tip top kek, plebfriend.
Noah Morales
Kudos on the nice choices, I’d be happy to own any one of those. I’m debating between either a moonwatch or a GS myself for my next purchase but I just bought a Nomos tangente so I’ll wait a couple years.
Gavin Roberts

Nathan Long
I haven’t watched Archie in a year or so but that’s really strange. The Archie of old would’ve called both those watches shitters. Maybe he’s trying to sell out, though I don’t know who on earth would pay him to shill
Elijah Wilson
Why aren't the SARX033/35 as popular as the SARBs?
Nathaniel Jackson
They're both more expensive and larger. The niche for people who actually care enough about external watch finishing to pay SARX/SBDx tier prices for watches with 6R15s is not that large, globally.
Eli Gray
Interesting pieces user. Do you have more shots of the 1880s one?
Sebastian Rodriguez
Not on my phone. I'll post some when I get home from vacation in a few days.
Oliver Lee
Went into an Omega shop in London today. The a railmaster wears smaller than I thought it would but I’m dead set in a Speedy at this point.
Josiah Long
Which speedy?
Aaron Robinson
Is the SARB 035 worth 350 yurobucks?

Just ordered two Murphy bezels for Vostoks and the black and Pepsi Seiko inserts for them. That will give me a few bezel options for the few Amphibias I'm going to end up with to get the dials and case styles I want.
No I’m just saying that if you want it you should buy it soon because the prices will keep increasing. If you wait you’ll end up paying more if you decide to buy it later.
Ryder Cruz
So... what's wrong with Zenith? Lay it out for me.
Jackson Rodriguez
Go for it m8.
Zachary Carter
They still buy their hairsprings from Nivarox (Swatch Group), though they are custom orders not standard parts.
The El Primero is an archaic design from a technical perspective, but that should be a non issue if you care about horological history more than technical excellence. It's a piece of living horological history.
Resale market is soft.
Many of their designs are hideous. That doesn't apply in this case.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
Easton Reed
I don't know. The watch ticks a lot of boxes for me. It's contemperary, beautiful dial, movement is on display, it's automatic, it's 33mm for my baby wrists, and apparently the movement el primero is... famous? I don't know. The thing is I have no freakin' clue about this brand. I barely knew that they existed.
Brody Cox

Owen Taylor
One of the best looking chronographs available and one of very few that could be worn with more formal attire.
Juan Mitchell
>apparently the movement el primero is... famous Yes it is but it's about the only thing they are famous for. The movement was used by a lot of brands in the past such as the earlier Rolex Daytona's.
