Not really, kde dev's can't into aesthetics. But other DE's can't into functionality, so plasma is still the best choice if you're doing actual work.

Aesthetics is actually the main reason why I just couldn't use Plasma anymore. No matter which theme or color scheme you choose - it's still unbearable.
Now I use GuhNOME which is surprisingly good once you turn off all extensions and embrace GNOME's team philosophy regarding user experience. The file manager is useless though (especially after Dolphin).

switched to deepinde and i dig it on antergos. gnome is also good but it's slow as fuck on my desktop, which is fucking weird because it's pretty high end.

OP is right though. All the KDE themes can't fix its ugly inconsistent UI. Plenty of people see the theme as good enough but as someone with severe autism, it makes the desktop unusable.

That's not how you spell XFCE. Seriously, I don't know how people use any other DE. It's the only non pure window manager solution that doesn't suck fucking ass.

No, he's not right, it's just his subjective opinion on the matter.
I, for example, like default KDE, even though it can look even better with some themes.
It's kinda funny to see all these footfags getting butt-blasted every time a new version of Plasma is released, adding new useful features, increasing stability and reducing the memory needed to run the DE.
Meanwhile, on footfagland, every release cuts something just because the gnome devs 'don't use it themselves', forcing the user to install some 3rd party extension (that breaks with every update), and even tho there's less features, the memory used by gnome on a fresh boot keeps going up and up and up.
Also, you don't like how Plasma looks? You can go ahead and customize the shit of it. On gnome? Not so much. I guess this is why the new trend with footfags is saying that 'the default look is what matters' (even tho gnome looks like shit and needs a fuckton of extensions just to make it usable).

You don't have severe autism. You wouldn't understand how important a consistent looking UI is to us. Also, there is no way to fix Plasma's appearance with the current themes. The windows are fixable but the application bar is permanently ugly. Look at Cinnamon screenshots if you want to see better consistency than Plasma.

Oxygen was broken in a lot of applications when Plasma 5 came out. I don't see an option for Oxygen in the window decorations section so it might be abandoned.
