If I see some actress who was in a fake porn, my concerns about the actual movie and higher artistic merits go completely out the window. The implications of this sort of video and audio editing go far beyond porn. Though I suspect this has been the case for a great number of years already. Convincing fake video and audio recordings could be made to frame people of crimes, destroy political candidates, totally subvert and control all elections. It also gives plausible deniability to footage of real crimes.
We're opening a can of worms that can't ever be closed again. Theres no way to stop it. No digital watermark, no DRM, nothing will ever work because there is no perfect lock. Any countermeasure will be bypassed.

I see three possible forks -
1, it's completely banned if it's considered "reasonably indistinguishable" from the real thing. Because you're using someone else's likeness, using logic similar to impersonation. This would probably also affect all other forms of impersonators.
another option would be that you're allowed to as long as it isn't "virtually indistinguishable" - which is a higher legal bar. The difference there is you could add a tattoo or a mole or if their body shape is 'optimized' then it's all good. That could be cool because then we'd probably see artists just signing them and that's the mark.
and similar to that one is the third where - you've got to always say that they're fakes if they are or face charges. I'm not sure how the burden of knowing what is fake or what is real in that situation would work out, since that's the whole issue here, but I bet artists could be protected from liability by 'signatures' on the models.
