Geento

OpenBSD

Arch GNU+Linux

Manjaro, Fedora, or Ubuntu

Debian

I would like to see x64 distro running on x86 CPU...

It will perform poorly, I had to upgrade my VM from 256MB to 1GB when updated to Jessie. Default install though, so it had Gnome.
Gentoo if you know how to build it. You'll get a tailored Linux distro which will use all possible uArch improvements, you may even able to play 1080p videos on it. And upgrade your RAM, Merom can take 2 GB, no problem.

Maybe it's worth to investigate what CPUs can be installed there, mobile Intel sockets are a clusterfuck, but still, maybe it supports Core2, maybe not.

Devuan (Debian without systemd). Install it headless and add a simple window manager like IceWM and a display manager like Slim. If you expect to browse the web at all you should really upgrade to 1GB of RAM.

Probably just kill yourself, and get rid of that obsolete piece of shit.

Puppy Linux or Tinycore. Web browsing will be a pain with anything but w3m.

Xebian

Lubuntu, Xubuntu.

Unironically gentoo

Lubuntu>Xubuntu on a computosaurus

Pfsense

Puppy

Windows. Linux is only suited to running headless on such old hardware. Throw one of those Black versions of XP with custom updates on it then be happy.

Install gentoo

Wut? Even back in the days when this kind of hardware was standard I had my spinning desktop-cube on Ubuntu while XP sucked ass at even showing transparent windows.

lubuntu

Cloveros is easily your best choice in this case

Debian net install with i3

this is like one of the best use cases of gentoo

Install gentoo

>picture of screen
>wants to use Linux

Why are handicaps drawn to Loonix?

your distro of choice

>It will perform poorly
>it had Gnome
Duh, even modern lower priceclass laptops perform poorly if you install gnome on them, it's one of the most resource heavy desktops ever made

gentoo, but cross-compile

fpbp

Q4OS

Ignore these assholes
>Elementary OS ftw

It froze when i tried to open firefox.

You'll need low RAM usage, so go for a minimal distro like arch or debian (Wihtout DE) and then install i3wm.

xubuntu 32 bits, ignore lubuntufags. lubuntu is abandonware until lxqt is implemented (2020).

Any usable distro will idle at ~300mb of RAM so you need more RAM desperately if you plan to actually use that thing. 2GB total should do it.

Lubuntu

Also this. Are you retarded, OP?

>cannot into screenshots
>thinks he's ready to learn a new OS

>RAM: 503MB
>Elementary OS ftw
Ignore this cocksucker, unless you want to be swapping even if you don't have any program open.

You disgust me.

>lubuntu is abandonware
Wrong.

Unironically install gentoo

>compiling shit on a Celeron M
literally unusable without distcc

void linux

BunsenLabs, maybe?

I even downloaded Bunsen to try on a shit notebook I have here.
I'm sorry OP, but even this is too much for your piece of crap.

Arch or Lubuntu

+1 Lubuntu my dude.
